It was because of the third tiebreaker, win loss percentage against common opponents. We really need the jets to drop a game to the chiefs, bills, or dolphins. Or, it's imperative the Bengals get 2 games out of the ravens/stealers/texans games. That way it wouldn't even get to the third tiebreaker. Ideally, a jets loss to the bills takes care of the third tiebreaker. Or a bengals win vs the ravens. Jets and Bengals are currently both 2-2 against common opponents, with one game left for each. My main concern, however, is dropping a game we are favored such as this coming week, st. louis, or Ariz. For some reason i have a bad feeling about that game in St. Louis. Hopefully it wont matter. I don't like the feeling I have about the game at St. Louis. Call me a pessimist, but I think this team has one more "inexcusable" loss left in them. If they do, they'll need to make it up with a win over Pittsburgh or Baltimore. Given the injury to the Houston QB, none of the other four remaining games are "excusable" losses. They say that the Jets and Texans are two of the top three. They say the Texans are better than Green Bay. Even before they lost their QB, this was not the case. Statistically, their methods have problems with overcounting. Thier methods also favor one kind of offensive style over others that might work just as well. Since they use these weights to guess who will win future games in their projections, this has some relevance to their playoff projections.
