Mikey6866
What would you guys think of picking him up after being cut by the eagles he could bolster our already good pass rush. Its not often you see an 18 sack guy from just last year available at this time of year. He is a pretty explosive pass rusher that could make our D even better. coup000
Nope, he was cut because he quit and we are already close to the top of the league in sacks.
JC
He'd likely be better than dingleberry, but I would prefer Fanene. There was talk last year that the run defense was so bad because Washburn just let his ends pass rush all game and neglect containment.
Le Tigre
Figured this would be coming. Some Philly reaction to his departure: @Ike58Reese "@CSNPhilly: The #Eagles have released Jason Babin: http://cmcst.sn/aabpmN #EaglesTalk" its about damn time! @Ike58Reese IMO Babin was released b/c of his attitude and the way he has embarassed the Eagles organization this year. @Ike58Reese Promoting the sell of T-Shirts on twitter prior to playing last night was a disgrace. These are his PRIORITIES? "ARE YOU KIDDING ME" #TMAC Fans hated him...production fell off big time. Not sure even a change of scenery can change this showboat. Fit in our locker room? Lol. SocalBengalEd
That's what really impressive about Atkins, Zimmer makes the dline play run first then attack the qb. Eagles have always been known to rush the.passer first then play run. Babin is better then Gilberry
Mikey6866
Babin was basically let go because he stated their fans were thugs (this is why the fans hate him now) and he supposedly called out several eagle players for dogging it. He has not been dogging it his numbers are down but a change of scenery could be big for him. We could definately use him for our playoff push. Eagle fans would dog on shady mccoy if he called them out.

texbengal
He's been on the scrap heap a few times. Jim Washburn reportedly fought hard to get him a few years ago and he had a monster year last year, but he didn't do much this year and he's 32. Who is he going to take snaps from? He's a liability vs the run, so he's not gonna beat out Dunlap, Geathers or MJ. And Dingleberry has been a hemorrhoid for opposing offenses when he's had the chance, and he's younger, too. I'd pass. DanvilleBengal
I will pass on Babin. Sure he does have pass rush skills, and even though he was a fish out of water at his first stint with the Texans, he fit in perfectly with the Titans and the Eagles. He would not fit in here unless he has a MASSIVE attitude adjustment, and even then I would still pass. Besides, if we even try to get Babin, it would end up as a massive numbers game, both for the defensive line, as well as the team in general. If he's on board, more than likely, someone significant would be walked. There isn't enough (if any) risk-to-reward potential for him. Not to mention we already have two linemen that are about to have 10.0 sack seaons in Michael Johnson and Geno Atkins.

If he's still unsigned this off season I MIGHT "kick the tires".
