mongo
Is it bad that I don't know what any of these movies are? I keep forgetting that not everyone shared the same childhood.... Mostly from the 70's and 80's. Tough to gauge 'bad', but these should rate: Hawk The Slayer - bad Fantasy flic with a magic sword and Jack Palance playing a Darth Vader inspired bad guy. Death Race 2000 - Cult David Carradine racer where you get points for killing spectators during the race Circle of Iron - 70's martial arts movie with David Carradine. Before cable, it was the first thing I saw with different Kung Fu styles. Killer Klowns From Outer Space - Cheesy Sci-Fi movie with a good, punk soundtrack by The Dickies The Last Starfighter - I lived in arcades as a kid. Any movie about a video game junkie saving the universe was going to be gold. Streets of Fire - Michael Pare and Willem Dafoe fighting with pick axes. Badass!! Oh! What about American Ninja? fluhartz
I think Weird Science and Real Genius are both great movies. I mean for what they are..goofy movies from the 80's. Now Howard the Duck and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes... ugh..those are bad movies. did you guys really like those or are you just naming bad movies? Jason
Conan is not a bad movie...Weird Science - Yes. Real Genius....Top Secret? Real Genius qualifies and came out within a few days of Weird Science. Real Genius was awesome. mongo
Tough to include Weird Science, Real Genius, and Top Secret. They were all really successful in theaters, and favorably thought of at the time.

Next to Speed Racer, Ultraman was a TV show I could not afford to miss. Odd notes: Eiji Tsuburaya helped create Godzilla and Ultraman. He also produced propaganda films for Japan during WW2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra_Series There are plans to have a first American live-action Hollywood movie where Will Smith is set to be one of the cast released in 2016 as a part of the 50th Anniversary of the franchise. Just to show a person how truly bad these shows were ( by today's standards ) , I included a clip of various episodes. P.S. This topic needed a place for bad TV shows we loved as kids too...
Tigris
Mrs. Doubtfire isn't a bad movie at all. I thought we were going with movies we liked at one point but then rewatched and am giving it a WTF now??? That's how I took it anyway. Or movies that no one likes at all but for some reason you like... cheesy acting and whatever

It looks like something I would have watched as a kid though. And I agree about a spot, or even its own thread, for bad tv shows. I'm fairly certain Tranzor Z that I mentioned above was a tv show. Tranzor Z was a TV show and yes, I will agree it looked pretty horrible. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazinger_Z Watching shows like Tranzor Z I am totally shocked you did not watch Ultraman. sois
Oh! What about American Ninja? Hell yeah, Joe Armstrong. I watched that the other day and I can not understand why everyone hated him. He DID get a bunch of dudes killed. I don't understand why they became friends with him. Whooping Jackson is enough? /spoilers Other cool movies: Over The Top Karate Kid III Rocky IV Rambo I Bloodsport No Retreat, No Surrender

Bengals1181
I wasn't a kid, and I don't recall if the movie itself was all that bad, but the opening of "Music and Lyrics" remains one of my favorite things, in a "so bad its hilarious" kind of way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVkU8dDSC9w
