I'm calling it...

Joe will have some movie roles starting soon after our season ends after the Super Bowl (which we will, of course, win).

No :ninja:

Burrow has always been a private person, but from recent comments it sounds like he is about to become much more visible nationwide. Most of his commercial endorsements have been fairly low scale for such a high profile NFL athlete, one of which was for a company that his (ex?) girlfriend worked for.

Joe Burrow can make as much money as he wants through national endorsements. The sky is the limit.

Agree but Id extend it to some countries as well.

While I know that his rookie contract will eventually get signed, it still frustrates me that the Bengals choose to make almost every signing difficult. I would bet big money that the holdup here is the usual issue with Cincinnati and player contracts - guaranteed money. Pick 16 Byron Murphy's contract with the Seahawks is fully guaranteed, pick 19 Verse for the LARams is fully guaranteed. So guess what, pick 18 Amarius Mims' contract should be fully guaranteed as well.

I hope his agent doesn't cave...make Cincinnati fully guarantee the contract like the other 31 NFL teams would do with that draft slot. If you believe he's going to develop into a heck of a football player" why not show Mims how much you value him?

Some of the late 1st round draft picks do not get fully guaranteed contracts, but the Bengals didn't draft late in the 1st round this season. Pick 18 is a fully guaranteed money slot...so suck it up and pay the big kid!

The Athletic on "underrated" teams:

Cincinnati Bengals

A healthy Joe Burrow, the return of top receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, an upgraded offensive line (a pressing area of need), a reimagined offense after the elevation of quarterbacks coach Dan Pitcher to coordinator — the Bengals seem to have a good shot at reclaiming their spot among the AFC’s elite. They might pose the biggest threat to the Kansas City Chiefs’ quest to win a third straight Super Bowl.

The 5 remaining unsigned first Rd picks are #'s 1, 9, 10, 17, 18 (Mims) and they belong to 3 teams. Chicago, Minnesota, and the Bengals. With the Bears and Vikings both having 2 players unsigned.

I imagine the holdup is slotting Mims since #17 (Dallas Turner) isn't signed yet with Minnesota.

I thought The Mutant signed and we were down to just Mims.

Just me, but 16 and 19 are signed and that should be some sort of ball park and

go somewhere toward making a fair offer friendly to both sides.

We did and are.

The only 5 draft picks unsigned from the entire NFL are those drafted # 1 (Caleb), 9 (Odunze), 10 (McCarthy), 17 (Turner), and 18 (Mims).

I assume it's a slotting issue based on 9/10 and 17/18 being back to back. As for Caleb, he's undone as he has no agent, just trying to have his lawyer do it.

All first Rd picks get guaranteed contracts automatically.

The contractual amounts are fully guaranteed. But teams try to put offset language in them so if the player is cut and signs elsewhere the team will get credit against the dead money for whatever the player makes with his new team.

That would be my guess as to the holdup with Mims.

Id say that's a damn good guess..
