Traditional sushi doesn’t use crap like cream cheese, avacado, and chilis. That’s a US/western world fusion load of bollocks. Nah f that, gimme an eel roll with avocado & jalapeno because it tastes good. I'm not the Shogun I can put Twizzlers and french fries in my sushi its NBD. What's being a food purist get you anyway? 3 Quote

Maybe your own show on FoodNetwork! 😄 I have done my fair share of sitting around a sushi-go-round, plucking Cal Rolls with Philly cheese and some form of serpent off of little boats. Nothing purist about great taste. I just have traditional preference due to a great cook wife who spent several years in far northern Japan. She makes a ramen which is simple and yet off the page flavor-wise. Although she wasn’t on Hokkaido, she confirms the good stuff made on the main island just south was really good. She copied this style. The late Tony Bourdain had an episode of “No Reservations”(Season 7 Episode 8 ) about the pleasures of Hokkaido munches. Worth a watch. 1 Quote

I would definitely not to try to order fusion shit in a trad sushi joint in Hokkaido. When I used to have a regular spot downtown the chef knew I had a shellfish allergy and it was omakase service all the way. Definitely the way to go if you trust the place. Man how I miss sitting down in Thai Express & just eating whatever they felt like making me. Never a mistake. Order the daily specials & tip well. Rarely will you regret it & an invite to eat at a chef's table is golden. 1 Quote

Bengals were one of the cheapest for many years. I'd say the Ravens are the "best bargain" on that list, in terms of winning and price, but "cheapest tickets" might be deceiving, if there are only a few available because they're obstructed view or something. 1 Quote

Griever Posted June 30, 2024 Report Posted June 30, 2024 I agree with the Bengals being top tier, I think the old rams helmet was better than their new one, plus how can you not have the chargers top tier? 1 Quote

|BlackJesus| Posted June 30, 2024 Report Posted June 30, 2024 ^ Squeelers belong on tier 5 because the left side is just black with no logo. 1 Quote

Love how the negative space splits the logo almost! 1 Quote

He definitely is improving, and seems driven to get the best out of his physical ability. That goes the same for his good buddy Chase Brown. From a Paul Dehner article in The Athletic: They arrived in Atlanta in February with plans for about two months of focused training. Five days a week they would do workouts in the morning and specific receiver work in the afternoon, with an easier day on Wednesday to stay fresh. They never missed. They always showed up begging for more, willing to push beyond their limits to find an inch of improvement. Lieberman recalled carrying Brown off the field in one workout after he pleaded to push until hitting the perfect rep. Iosivas and Brown even flew to Las Vegas during two weekends of OTAs to get in more work because Lieberman was there training with Meyers. “We both think similarly about our athletic prowess and how to approach football and life,” Iosivas said. They were relentless. And rough around the edges. “I got really lucky,” Lieberman said. “It was mostly them. It was their coachability, their willingness to commit to this. They are the most on-point, dedicated, nice, incredible kids. Not to mention, neither of them knew a goddamn thing, so I had no bad habits to break.” 1 2 Quote

I think he could be a 1k yard/10TD WR but in a different sort of role. He needs to get stronger with his release, in traffic & playing the ball. There's also the timing issues, catch radius & other things he will do differently. Tee is a bigger, faster, (on the field not necessarily talking 40 times) rangier WR that is completely dialed in on Sheisty. I do think Joe will be spreading the ball around more, they're trying to get more out of these new TE/RBs which can make the whole offense better. Expect to see Andrei, Burton & a couple of others in the rotation with Chase lining up all over. Gesicki effectively replacing the slot WR at times, maybe with Sample in a more flexible 2 TE look. I don't think they have a true Higgins replacement on the roster - few teams do, which is why he wants to cash in. He will be missed. Quote

Tee is a bigger, faster, (on the field not necessarily talking 40 times) rangier WR that is completely dialed in on Sheisty. Tee has a lot of strengths as a WR, but his biggest weakness seems to be an obvious discomfort playing in the slot. I can still remember Chase last summer saying he was trying to get Higgins more comfortable moving both outside/inside, but that certainly didn't happen for a few different reasons. So last year they wanted to move Chase all over the place, but WR2 was only comfortable outside and WR3 was only effective in the slot. Chase being a position-less receiver only works if the other receivers on the field are versatile too. Otherwise, the defenses aren't quite as stressed with the offense. The coaches are hoping that Iosivas and Burton will eventually be able to play effectively on the inside as well as the outside. Iosivas is working on that now in Georgia with his personal WR coach. 1 Quote
