GOAT doesn’t strike me as being involved enough financially to make a difference. Although his “influence” has risen Birmingham of League One (English footy) to the top of the table, and automatic promotion to Championship if they hold it. Quote
Griever Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 Good fallback option for him if he doesn't land a HC job Quote

dex Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 Detroit Lions figure to lose both offensive/defensive coordinators - Ben Johnson/Aaron Glenn - to head coaching jobs. Both guys have done great work this year, especially Glenn with all of the defensive injuries. Quote
sparky151 Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 Lions will most likely lose Johnson. Not sure about Glenn. There are 6 jobs open and with as many candidates as their are, I doubt both Lions coordinators get one. Vrabel will get one, probably the Pats. Spagnuolo looks likely to get one. Johnson for sure. After that it's a jumble. Flores is probably a stronger candidate than Glenn. And most teams prefer offensive guys over defensive ones. 1 Quote
Inigo Montoya Posted January 9 Report Posted January 9 I think Glenn makes sense in New Orleans but I’m not sure about the other jobs. I agree that Vrabel and Ben Johnson are locks to land jobs. It will be interesting to see if Spags actually leaves KC. His tenure with the Rams included a 1-15 and a 2-14 record in two of his 3 seasons. Yikes. Quote

They just had a defensive guy and it was very meh. Jaguars I think pretty obviously take an offensive guy to try to resurrect Tyler Lawrence. Bears probably get Ben Johnson to pair with Williams Quote

The #Jaguars have requested an interview with #Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo for their head coaching job. That's three for Spags, who also is set to speak with the #Jets and #Raiders. Quote

I dunno, so far Aaron Glenn seems to be the hottest HC candidate out there among the six available teams. Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn will interview for the Raiders HC job tomorrow, per source. So Jets today, Saints and Raiders tomorrow, and Jaguars and Bears on Saturday. He declined to interview with the Patriots. Quote
