I think Eberflus, Leonard, Lupoi and Graham are likely the top contenders. I gotta believe that Rapien knows something bc Lupoi as a candidate is just not a name you pick out of the air.

Eberflus and Graham have experience as pro DCs… the others as NFL position coaches, and in Power 5 college programs. I’ve always liked Leonard as a smart, less talented player and I’m not surprised he’s well-regarded as a coach.

I like the fact that Eberflus has had successful runs as a DC and really, his defense in Chicago was good, too. He was just over his head as HC. But he’s not old and I’m sure he’d like another shot - so a DC opportunity where he’d have a lot of say-so would be appealing, especially when paired with a top-end Bengals’ offense and good ST crew.

I would not rule out Al Golden as a possibility either, only because Golden himself didn't rule it out when asked about it Tuesday. Golden just said he was concentrating on preparing for Penn State, and he wasn't thinking about anything else right now. He could've just said NO, I'M NOT INTERESTED but instead chose not to do so.

Golden was on Cincinnati's staff as LB coach when they went to the Super Bowl, and seemingly enjoyed his two seasons with the Bengals. Golden left to become a coordinator at Notre Dame. Does he have interest in being a coordinator at the pro level with an organization he is already familiar with?

Is he wrong? About the quality of the coordinator?

I don't care.

His comments lead me to believe..

He's an ass and  brings nothing to the board aside of

Unprovoked comments spewing some kind of

pent up  inner anger he brings to the board.

Won’t belabor the point. Suffice to say I have been on many boards over the years with Spicoli (and we’ve tangled a time or two)…and his knowledge of the game is superior. If he says something, you can damn well know it’s not just opinion.

He doesn't need to be a complete asshole.

edit:  and threatening to show up to someone’s house to kick their ass is utter bullshit.

He's been no more right than most members

His recent behavior as been nothing but a negative nuisance

Hopefully he regains a positive input here instead of acting like a complete bitch.
