I would add Greg Hardy and Jabaal Sheard.

I don't think we necessarily get either of them, but I expect they would rank high on our wish list.

Sheard had 15.5 sacks total in his first two years in the league while playing 4-3 DE. The Browns switched to the 3-4 a couple years ago and he hasn't been as effective at OLB. With Mingo and Kruger at OLB, they are going to let him walk and I think he could end up being the best bargain at DE due to having played out of position the last two seasons.

Hardy is probably going to be out of our price range. But I do think it is possible that he decides to take a 1 year "prove it" type deal to rebuild his value after missing 2014 due to suspension. If he does, he could be a perfect fit here on the field and in terms of squeezing him into the cap. I'd be really surprised to see a massive long-term deal with big guaranteed money, but a 1 year deal for $7-8M is definitely doable.

Realistically speaking, whom would the Bengals target outside our own guys in the FA market? I know they never make a big splash in FA, but whom is out there that could be had for a reasonable price that the Bengals might bite on?

Probably wait until the second week and go after Bobby Boucher, UFA from South Central Louisiana State University Mud Dogs

I really want Jared Odrick here...

Marvin loves defensive lineman that can play inside and out. I'm 100% certain that if he's got a list of DT targets, Odrick is near the top. He fits the mold of Robert Geathers, Jon Fanene, Frostee Rucker, etc. but he's better than any of them.

I'd love to see him added, but it doesn't directly address the problem of pressure off the edge.

Brandon Spikes would be a good signing. He got less than Maualuga last year as a free agent and was only on a 1 year contract. Greg Hardy would be a nice signing but that's too ambitious. We might go after guys like Justin Durant or David Harris that the team reportedly liked when they were in the draft years ago.

I have a buddy who is a Packers fan who pretty much loathed Hawk.  Maybe it was the amount of money he was making attached to his play.  I never heard much good about him, though.  Might not be a bad stop gap if we can't resign Rey.  I'm not sure he's much of a WLB.
