Andre Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Randy Moss, Dallas Clark, Calvin Johnson,
Marques Colston and Santonio Holmes all has close to as many,
as many, or more drops than T.O. did last season. How come
I don't hear people talking about them dropping passes?
I know. And how many of those other receivers have had the length of a career like TO has? Maybe Moss is close, but that's it. All WR's drop passes sometimes. Shit, Chad drops his share, along with his stupid false start penalties. Nobody is perfect.

I told Doyel on twitter that I hope the Bengals sign T.O. so I can watch his head explode.
And I told him that he should just go be a Browns fan now. Good riddance.

Douchebag.

And yes I would love it if they signed him.

I also said, I think it is funny you tell me to have some pride. After saying you would stop
Veteran standout receiver Terrell Owens is on the ground in Cincinnati tonight. The sometimes controversial player says joining the Bengals is his "first option". At the airport tonight, he told Local 12 Sports Director Brad Johansen he would be anxious to play with Carson Palmer and would look forward to the chance to play with his friend Chad Ochocinco. After leaving the airport Owens said he was going to have dinner with Coach Marvin Lewis and simply see where things go from there.
See what T.O. says he has left in his tank when he discusses his NFL future in Brad Johansen's exclusive television interview tonight on Local 12 News Live at Eleven.
The Bengals are still interviewing other wide receivers. Today free agent Antonio Bryant, formerly of Tampa Bay, paid a visit to Paul Brown Stadium.
Terrell Owens is Twittering excitedly about Tuesday night's trip to Cincinnati. His last quarterback, the Bills' Ryan Fitzpatrick, sounds just as intrigued about Owens joining his former team.

"It's hard not to like T.O. He was fun to play with and no one worked harder," Fitzpatrick said Tuesday. "And let me tell you something. He can still flat out run by people."

Owens is very much in the mix. So is Bucs wide receiver Antonio Bryant. Bryant took a physical and visited with coaches and staff Tuesday morning and much of Tuesday afternoon before departing for what agent Lamont Smith has told media are other visits but not Washington. As some Bengals'coaches prepared to take Owens out to dinner Tuesday night in preparation for Wednesday's visit, the Bengals continued to mull their options for Chad Ochocinco's 2010 running mate.

Bryant is 29 who overcame a checkered past to have a career year in 2008 and is most likely looking for a lucrative long-term deal. Owens is 36 and late in a controversial but Hall-of-Fame career that doesn't fit the Bengals'age-wise but fits their specifications as a one-year panacea for a former Pro Bowl quarterback and a defending division champion looking to get over the hump in the playoffs.

Take your pick.

There probably isn't a wrong choice, which is why the Bengals are mulling and will into Wednesday.

Fitzpatrick, who backed up Carson Palmer in Cincinnati in 2007 and 2008, knows all those involved and likes the fit. Owens is supposed to eat his quarterbacks for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Not Fitzpatrick.

"The Bengals and Terrell make a lot of sense," said Fitzpatrick, who started 12 games for the Bengals in '08. "Carson is at his best when he's throwing the long ball and they've had trouble lately getting Chad freed up because he's always double covered. They don't have a deep threat on the other side and Terrell can bring that because he can still run and make big plays. Just knowing Carson, I think they would work well together. I saw Carson's quotes that he's pretty much handled it all and seen it all when it comes to wide receivers and I think he's right. Terrell wants to win. A great competitor and I think he and Chad would feed off each other. The guy was a good teammate."

Owens proclaimed not very long ago at a Super Bowl party last month that he'll change his name to Ocho Uno (81) if he comes to Cincinnati to team with The Ocho. Fitzpatrick says they are different guys.

"Both of them get a huge amount of media attention, so they're used to that," Fitzpatrick said. "Chad's more the jokester, the prankster in the locker room. Terrell is certainly not that way. I know there have been some scenes on the sidelines and stuff, but the guy just wants to win."

Palmer has apparently finally been able to get in touch with Owens to talk Bengals. Fitzpatrick has been texting Owens, letting him know that Palmer's long ball is looking for another partner. And to let Palmer know that Owens has still got it.

"I know we had a tough year and it discourages me when I hear people say he's lost a step," Fitzpatrick said. "Put on the game tape. He just blows guys up off the line with his explosiveness."

If he remains healthy (15-16 games) I see a worst case scenario of 750 yds and 5 tds and a best case scenario of 1000 yds and 8 tds. Some guys age better than others and T.O. is an example of a physical specimen who's body is a few years younger than his actual age. Either way it's an upgrade at the #2 spot. At this point I see T.O. as the better fit for this team. Him and Chad will cause problems for defenses. Then get us a TE and somebody in the slot. I am not overly impressed with Caldwell. I'm not sure he is anything more than a borderline #3 guy.

I dont know if id put his ceiling at 1000 and 8. He put up 829 in Buffalo with Fitzy as his qb. I know its not the same situation but Chad doubled his yardage from a year with fitz to a year with Carson.

If the oline can block and carson stays healthy I could see Chad and TO both getting 1000 yards easily this year if TO becomes a bengal.

As far as TDs...TO had 38 in his 3 years in Dallas. And they never really had a WR on the opposite side like we have Chad. And all things equal id take CP over Romo. So i think TO could get around 10 tds too.

Id put his best case numbers more around 1200 and 12.

Sounds like TO wanted this and is optimistic it will happen. Carson has already given his blessing and now even Fitkitna, er, Fitzpatrick is jumping on the band wagon of support for signing TO. I think it's actually going to happen and I think it could pay major dividends. Normally I might be against a one or two year fix, but the passing game needs to be turned around with a quickness.

I've been kind of on the bubble between TO and Antonio, seeing the pluses and minuses on both.

Fitzpatrick really pushed me to TO. He probably will be cheaper. I can see great chemistry between him and Chad. I don't see Fitzpatrick purposely misleading Carson.

Plus, Antonio's attitude really worries me more than TO's.

As far as one or two year fixes go Id agree. Thats exactly what this is.

HOWEVER...we have the potential to have a top 5 defense, we were last year and if we stay healthy and build a little in the draft and with experience, we should be again next year. We had a pretty good running game last year and with more experience and PT for Bernard scott I think our running game will be nasty. And if we can get TO and then give Carson some time he should be able to get this passing game close to where it was in 05-06. Why cant this team win the superbowl next year? And if they do the 1 year stop gap TO was definitely worth it...

Andre Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Randy Moss, Dallas Clark, Calvin Johnson,
Marques Colston and Santonio Holmes all has close to as many,
as many, or more drops than T.O. did last season. How come

TO has had better or comparable numbers that Bryant over the past few seasons. TD's way favor TO - and Bryant has missed many more games. Unless this year is the year TO needs Viagra I'd say he's the better prospect.
Bengals need the deep threat not a 2nd Ocho..

bwahahaha media is literally drooling all over him before he even makes it out of the airport... Don't get me wrong, I'm on the "Ocho + TO is better than Ocho - TO" bandwagon, but at least Buffalo waited until a contract was actually signed to give the guy a key to the city...

http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/05/19/terrell-owens-gets-key-to-city-of-buffalo/

ohh and btw, the third article that comes up when you google "buffalo Terrell Owens key to city" is ironic for it's mention of the bengals... regardless if it's not entirely timely or accurate (no cincinnati bengal shot anyone, and definately not around 2009)...

I'm really looking forward to these types of articles being written good ole cincy... :1062:

Obviously, if he doesn't act like a horse's ass he'll be an asset to the team... I'd like to see TO in stripes and I'd love to see browns fans and their "TO has BO" signs as TO grabs another bomb from Carson for six... You just dont want to look desperate in the process... Brad's "enthusiasm" certainly gives that impression...

the way i see it....last year we had a very hard time selling games out but we sold out and it worked every game. just didn't know which game was going to be blacked out and some how we sold out. the way mike brown can look at it is if he signs T.O. he could sell more seats and sell some T.O. merchandise which is not bad lol

I also said, I think it is funny you tell me to have some pride. After saying you would stop
being a Bengals fan and start being a Browns fan.
