It crystallizes for me why they are slime and deserve nothing but contempt. The real story here isn't gun control or political rhetoric. Like Virginia Tech shooting, there were warning signs with this shooter that many people failed to address. And all the crocodile tears about folks seeking "short-term political gain" is simply a further load of bullshit piled atop what has become a mountain of stink over the past couple of decades. What is true about this sad incident is that it is a harbinger; there will be more incidents of this kind. And we all know who is responsible for the crazy rhetoric in recent years. Let's see if the sane folks who remain in those loci of power and influence rein these irresponsible and vacuuous folks in--or if they continue to try to deflect their culpability onto others.
