Donald Trump Makes $5 Million Offer to Obama -- Show Me Your College Records http://tmz.me/TaE0ez

Donald Trump has just issued a $5 million challenge to Barack Obama -- if POTUS releases his college records, Trump says he'll donate $5 mil to a charity of B.O.'s choice.

Trump just made the "announcement" via a YouTube video -- saying, "If Barack Obama opens up and gives his college records and applications ... and if he gives his passport applications and records I will give to a charity of his choice -- Inner City Children of Chicago, American Cancer Society, AIDS Research ... a check immediately for 5 million dollars."

I actually like it. Make the same offer to Romney and his tax records...

In addition, a charity gets a huge influx of money. Win - win.

If Obama did that, I would vote for him.

During an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, the topic came up, of course, of the Celebrity Apprentice star's announcement that he would give $5 million to President Barack Obama's charity of choice if the commander in chief released his college and passport records.

"What did I miss in this? Why do we want to see President Obama's college records?" asked Letterman.

"Transparency. Does that make sense to anybody? Seriously, transparency," Trump replied, before noting that he would actually be willing to increase the offer.

"I assume and I hope that his records are perfect," noted Trump. "He picks up $5 million for charity. Five million. From me. Immediate. Check written. I'd even go more to be honest; there, you have a scoop."

Why would Obama even consider doing this? So FOX and Friends can have some "expert" on the next day to show how it's a fake like they did with the birth certificate? Even years after that has all been debunked and proven legit you still have people who believe that moronic nonsense because they saw it "on the FOX news".

Doesn't what Trump is asking for, become a matter of public records since Obama is an elected official?

What's wrong with asking to see these things? Trump said he wanted to see Obama's passport application, along with his college records. If anyone of those things says he was born somewhere else, Obama would have committed perjury of an official federal document.

I wasn't sure or not. I know there is different rules for government employees because their paycheck is coming from the government. They have even been making contractors who work for the government to sign a full disclosure contract. Well at least they did, I'm not so sure.

Because I like many other people think Obama might not have been born in the U.S. means I'm stupid? There are some really arrogant assholes on this board. What's the next thing you are going to say? A fucking sheriff in Arizona examined Obama's birth certificate and it was printed out by a computer on a type of paper that was not used by hospitals at that time of Obama's birth. There were also no computers back then. It would have been typed out manually on a type writer. If Obama does have anything to hide he would let whatever documents be examined. How can you be so fucking closed minded when Obama could fix this whole situation and put it to rest. What's so fucking hard to understand about that? For fucks sake why are you defending a man you probably have never met? How in fuck's sake you defend a man when you don't have a clue about his private life? Who sounds like a fucking idiot when you defend someone that continues to hide secrets? What the fuck man?

Look my room mate just died this morning and Lucid starts jumping my case calling me an idiot and whatever else. Is there going to be a double standard? I can tone it down, and talk civil if other people can do the same thing.

Really going to ban someone for having a different political opinion? that's garbage
I agree. Having an unpopular opinion shouldn't be a bannable offense. In fact its not an offense at all. If someone doesn't like your opinion you are free to ignore it as Kenneth has done.

Anyway, this whole thing is ridiculous. Trump is a buffoon, and this whole birther/truther/Muslim nonsense just needs to go away.

My take is that even if Obama is a Muslim...I don't care. Why should I or anyone else care? I don't care that Romney is a magical underpants wearing Mormon. I flat out DO NOT CARE about someone's religion unless it becomes clear somehow that it's shaping their political decision making.

Even if Obama wasn't born in the US...I DON'T CARE! In this day and age, that "rule" is just fucking stupid anyway. If you are an American citizen that's foreign-born, you should be able to be President. My Dad is a retired Army Major General in the Corps of Engineers that served for 36 fucking years with distinction and because he had the "misfortune" to be born in the Panama Canal Zone when HIS Dad, my grandfather, also a career Army officer, happened to be stationed there at the time can't be President (if he wanted to) is just LAME. LAME!!

It's an outdated rule meant to prevent foreign influence in government that doesn't apply in the 21st Century. At least my Dad could be Governor of California if he wanted to.

I agree the rule is kind of out dated, but would it be something you could ignore if he lied about it and covered it up? It's kind of like what happened with Clinton. In some states adultery is a criminal offense, but Clinton only got censured and I believe they did some kind of other thing they put on his formal records. Clinton didn't in trouble for adultery, but he got in troubled for telling a lie about it to Congress.
