February 5, 201312 yr comment_1213093 No thanks--we've gotten rid of all the thugs/head cases (although the jury is still out on Pacman). We sure as hell don't need to start signing knucklheads again.
February 5, 201312 yr comment_1213096 The only cool thing that guy has ever done is put Sr. on his jersey.
February 5, 201312 yr comment_1213098 I liked Young coming out but didn't think he was a selfish prick. He'll probably get signed by the Patriots and go on to win 7 Super Bowls and be inducted into the HOF before he even retires.
February 5, 201312 yr comment_1213105 I'd take a shot on him if he'd sign a low risk contract, then just cut him if he starts acting like an idiot.
February 5, 201312 yr comment_1213106 This guy is dumb. How can you expect number 1 like targets playing next to Calvin? Life would be no different here.
February 5, 201312 yr comment_1213108 wouldn't even consider signing him. Dude was purposely running wrong routes because he was pissed at the coaching staff.

He had an OK 2 years with 10 TDs, which is nothing to sneeze at - but reportedly he's a locker room killer. No thanks.

He played well this season and is going to be here next season. Nothing indicates he causes any problems in the locker room, though he did have some slight incident at a bar or something semi-recently. Which is why there's no way in hell we sign Titus Young, though he is better than Calvin Johnson http://profootballta...-than-megatron/ Titus Young recently boasted he’s better than Megatron Posted by Mike Florio on February 4, 2013, 10:47 PM EST Getty Images The Texans have learned the hard way that they shouldn’t have cut receiver Jacoby Jones. The Lions surely hope that they won’t have the same experience with receiver Titus Young. But it has become increasingly clear that the 2011 second-round pick had to go. The latest evidence comes from Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, who shares a conversation Young had with his high-school coach, E.C. Robinson, on Christmas Day. “He did tell me he thought he was just as good Megatron,” Robinson told Birkett. “I said, ‘Titus, come on.’ I said, ‘Come on, man. Who you talking to?’ I said, ‘Come on, you’re as good as that guy? This guy is the real deal.’ And he really believes this. And he was sincere about it. ‘Ah man, I’m better than him.’ I said, ‘No you’re not. Be real man. Come on.’ So I don’t know, I’m hoping for the best for him.” The best will come from a second chance with a team that claims him on waivers. The Chiefs have dibs. The fact that Young failed in Detroit doesn’t mean he’ll fail elsewhere. The challenge for any team with a high talent/low character player is to put him in a locker room where there are enough high character players to hold him accountable and, ideally, to transform him into a higher-character person. If that happens in his next stop, there’s hope for Titus Young. If it doesn’t, he’ll eventually be cut again.
February 5, 201312 yr comment_1213126 We need to sign a guy with actual talent. Not a bunch of low talent guys like we already have. Not going to get it done with what we have as our #2 WR. Sanu was coming on but I dont know if we can count on him to take the next step. Would love to see them go out and get a proven WR in FA if that's possible.

Looks to me like the FA WRs all fall into one of two categories, not good enough to help or looking for $10M dollars. Guys like Bowe, Jennings and Wallace would all look good in stripes, but aren't worth the price tags. It looks like a pretty deep WR class. Would love to see one of the first three picks spent on a WR. And I agree with everyone else, young is a head case and that is the last thing this team needs. With all of our cap space, young talent and extra draft picks, we don't need to try to cut corners to add talent like some other teams might. We can add a talented WR without overpaying or destroying the locker room.

February 5, 201312 yr comment_1213195 Fuck him!!! He INTENTIONALLY ran the wrong routes. when you have teammates calling you out, then you know that person is a cancer. Normally they are very tight lipped on teammates.
You could be right but I thought I read that he intentionally lined up wrong as in he was lining up as the #1 option when he was supposed to be a #2 or #3 option. Reading his quotes, that's what I got out of the whole situation anyway.
February 5, 201312 yr comment_1213231 Rams claimed Young. Actually like the move for the Rams and there is a article on PFT about it

February 6, 201312 yr comment_1213269 Yeah. If Andy liked Ship and was lockermates with him, he'd divorce that blonde beauty once he got Amendola. He is that good.

Please, Father Marvigan, don't take the bait on this one. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/rams-place-titus-young-waivers-203636556--nfl.html yea they cut him the other day. As I understand it, they put in the waiver claim so that they'd have a few days to "interview" him and get to know him without fighting for his services on the free agent market. They apparently didn't like what he had to say.
February 19, 201312 yr comment_1215035 http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1531064-is-titus-youngs-nfl-career-over "Like I said I never been selfish but if I'm not going to get the football i don't want to play anymore." Young has been sent home by the team on three different occasions -- once for punching teammate Louis Delmas during an offseason workout program, then twice for repeated insubordinate behavior. In November, Young allegedly lined up in the wrong position on purpose in a game against Green Bay, something he later denied. Coach Jim Schwartz deemed Young's behavior "unacceptable." Pre-draft training, Titus Young was told that he ran a 4.6 40 in warmups. Threatened to beat up an intern, was thrown off the field
