Now - noted Stealers lover Mike Florio (the guy that created this site) throws his 2 cents in:

Vontaze Burfict needs to go, for good

From time to time, the NFL looks the other way regarding suspension-worthy behavior on the football field. This time, the NFL looked the other way on banishment-worthy behavior from Vontaze Burfict.

Burfict’s blatant forearm to the helmet of Stealers receiver Antonio Brown passes the walks/talks/quacks/craps-like-a-duck test, especially in light of Burfict’s history. He wanted to throw a forearm into the helmet of Brown, and Burfict did.

So why wasn’t he suspended? One possibility is that, with everything otherwise going so smoothly this year for the NFL, the league office opted not to undermine the upswing in scoring and ratings (and eventually revenue) by making a strong public statement about Burfict being a bad guy. With the league’s owners gathering on Tuesday for a quarterly meeting, the topic could/would have created plenty of sound bites regarding the unacceptability of the headhunting in which Burfict seemed to be engaged, drawing even more attention to the lingering dark underbelly of the game.

At a time when the league is determined to keep the focus on the game, the question of whether Burfict should be suspended for an extended stretch or kicked out of the league for good would take the focus away from the current Papa John’s-style “better offenses, better game, NFL” obsession.

But it’s becoming harder to ignore the situation, given that Stealers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger claims that, after the blow to Brown’s head, Burfict pointed to receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and declared, “You’re next!”

The NFL has yet to respond to an inquiry from PFT as to whether they’ll investigate the situation and punish Burfict. They should. Ultimately, they should kick Burfict out of the league.

He has had ample opportunities to comply with the expectations of those who run the sport. He consistently has failed.

If you’re on the fence about that, take a look at this video posted by Robert Klemko of SI.com. Burfict is a menace to the game, a constant threat to the health and safety of his opponents, and unfit to conform to the conduct the league now mandates.

I'm convinced the Stealers just play off the now-established narrative on Burfict and with the hopes that if they pile on and enough is said against him, that something will be done against Burfict.

I saw this agenda-soaked, self-righteous garbage show up in my feed on Twitter today because it was 'liked' by dick dangler Florio's Pro Football Talk account:

Has Burfict done some shady shit and sometimes cross the edge? Definitely. But more than half of what Klemko put here in his Digital Media 101 semester project is just football hits... the clip of Burfict slicing through the middle and throwing down Jen. Hahahaha, like that somehow illustrates bad or dirty play? Get the fuck outta here. Love how the jackasses in the comments (always the place where intelligence goes to die) always regurgitate the same bullshit too. Drives me up a wall.

Yet Shazier's a hero after trying to light people up for years and finally fucked himself up.

And James Harrison and Joey Porter were tough, hard-nosed, blue collar players. "Hard like steel that the fine city is associated with. Blue collar like the proud, working people who live there. That's Stealer football."

Even Hobson had his nose all brown with Stealer feces in his article from earlier this week when mentioning the "great" Ryan Shazier.

Agenda much? Remember that this twat waffle's site is affiliated with NBC Sports. Love the hypocritical virtual signaling for player safety with regards to monsters like Burfict. There's been more angst towards Burfict than there has ever been for any player including anyone who's had actual off-field problems like domestic violence... or mugging someone in a casino. But nowadays people love to be outraged, apparently; it's American culture now.

Yeah, there's an inordinate amount of pearl clutching going on...

Hoard was unbearable after the TD. Gleefully talking about stealer fans celebrating and terrible towels. Calling Jen a HOFer instead of a rapist. That really gets on my nerves when they call an active player a HOFer, especially that ass hat.

It sure didn't sound like a Bengals flagship station broadcast.

Why does he still have a job? Why didn't Lapham just put him in a sleeper hold or something? Glad I didn't hear him, I'd literally puke.

I looked but didn't have any luck. Nix got him with a cut block I think I read from Kat Terrel.

I read it somewhere and can't find the original source.

The Nix thing sounds about right.

Found it here, can't get it to post but...

https://twitter.com/kat_terrell?lang=en

Ian Rapoport 10/15 "The Bengals are expected to be without prolific LB Nick Vigel about a month source said, as he suffered a sprained MCL on Sunday.  It came on a cut block in the first quarter."

Kat Terrell 10/15 "Teryl Austin said he has no problem with the play that injured Nick Vigel. 'Its a straight-on block, a cut block.  It's legal.  There's nothing illegal about it." he said.

At the end of the day we are a borderline wildcard team who will undoubtedly lose to whomever we play if we get there.   Of course the focus will continue to be on Marvin Lewis while the real issue continues to be the horrid imitation of a General Manager by Mike Brown and family.   January 6, 1991 was a LONG time ago.

The Stealers are douche bags  but they are simply preaching to the choir and laughing like fuck behind closed doors at how effective the get rid of Vontaze strategy is working.  Burfict has a few games left at best then he will simply do something fucking retarded and get the 8 games.

We are an average team and will get our teeth kicked in by the Chiefs this weekend.  The team simply does not have the coaching to do anything else.  Furthermore, if you think the league pushes the scales down for " chosen" teams then there is no way we have a chance against Patrick Fucking Mahomes.

He dove for his knees and ankles.  I don't see how that could not be a penalty but that's just High School Homer.

Also, in the same play, the running back has a false start that isn't called.
