It's an AFCN thing. Can't get over the hump in the division games... We can beat the Chefs cause they're not cooking anymore. I will not believe we lose all 6 division games so I'll ride with the Bengals to win out.3 points

To be coldly and unfortunately honest... at his age, he's through as an effective interior defensive lineman. I guess I would re-sign him cheap but we are only going to get a half year out of him anyway. Uses my Bengals 20/20 Hindsight Glasses™ I'm still livid they went for The Because We're Bengals, Son way of doing things and not getting Chase Young for a 3rd round draft pick at the trade deadline. Wouldn't you say he is better than a 3rd round pick? Even dinged up?3 points

Good call.. A new coach wants his own QB. Contract for Fields may play into it If Bears keep Fields and draft Harrison no qualms..2 points

In my mock, IF he had been there, that would have been the pick. He was not.2 points

For those of you who would prefer to tank than to try to win, we are in the #18 slot right now in a three way tie at 8-7 with DEN and PIT, and are a game off from the next six teams at 7-8 - ATL NOS GBP LVR DEN and MIN. The first tiebreak is SOS, and ours is the highest in the league so we will lose out to any team we tie with. Therefore all of the teams who already have 9 losses are pretty much guaranteed to pick ahead of us. Best case scenario for the Tank Squad is for us to go 0-2 and leapfrog the other eight by having them all go 2-0. I'm sorry to have to point out that since ATL-NOS and LVR-DEN have games left against each other, the best you can hope for is for us to move up six spots, as theres no way for both teams in those two games to win. We are #18 right now. Best you can hope for is #12. Personally, I'm hoping for #32 until it's no longer mathematically possible, but you do you. See you at the draft.2 points

I said the same thing on here a month ago. If you’re looking for a pure RT, Fuaga is the one.2 points

I like the Bengals pick. I don't see the Bears passing on Caleb Williams. If so they'd go for Marvin Harrison to combo with Fields.2 points

I only started watching clips. Fuaga looked to be the strongest of the 3, Lathem looked to be the most technically sound but nothing impressive about him, just solid, Mims looks raw but has the biggest upside. At least that's what I see from the very small amount I've watched.2 points

It seems to open things up a bit more in my opinion1 point

By some manner of black magic and witchcraft if we win our next 2 games we have a 91% chance to make the playoffs. Granted, KC on the road and Cleveland at home are big obstacles but it’s not impossible. No, we don’t control our own destiny.1 point

Are they ready to give up on Justin Fields after 3 seasons? Williams is not a "generational" QB. He's not JAG either. Some where in between...which is what Fields is.1 point

This is the worst defense we have had in a long time. I hope these young guys and veterans dig deep find a way. It be like winning Super Bowl if this team ends up in playoffs.1 point

I agree on the Bears. I can only pick for my team the way this is set up.1 point

As I said, one has to watch his play on a regular basis. If one is looking for a natural RT, he is it. And no one knows where he will go—or even if he’ll go (he is a junior)1 point

i could agree with you when Mixon had his high contract numbers and you stated that he wasnt worth that much , .. but now your acting as blind as Zach with the shotgun formation.. under center did work improving the run game. Mixon did a fine job. you just wont admit it.1 point

Odd that I like our chances against KC but not vs the Stains. We look completely unprepared and unmotivated against Cleveland every damned time.1 point

I did 3 of these today, my top picks were Bowers, Lathem, and Newton1 point

IF we win out our next 2 games, 93% to make the playoffs. IF. right now we're at 17%1 point

Then I sincerely apologize to you since I have quoted him a couple of times lately.1 point

Did it catch fire and go out in a blaze of glory prior to this past Saturday?1 point

Except that for those couple of weeks that we were running under center stuff Joe was putting up numbers. When we got away from that this week and Zac thought Jake was Joey B again and for some reason thought "you can't run against the Steelers" despite every other team doing so, he didn't. You have been wrong about Mixon every step of the way. And he will finish out his contract next year here as the starter, start preparing yourself for that.1 point

So why not try Chase Brown?1 point

Believing on any given week what NFL defense anywhere will be successful, is not a firm foundation. To the extent that the Bengal defense can play at least as well as the Las Vegas Raiders’ defense, has already been shown. Put Kermit in a box with no running game or reliable WR’s, and I totally believe they can. More importantly: the Bengal offense will be on the “Good Zac” week. There you have it1 point

The chiefs defense is actually good they have spagnuolo for as long as they want because he already went the head coach route and failed with the rams when they were still in at Louis hopefully we can keep Lou our d isn't as good this year as it's been the previous 2 but I still believe he's a very good defensive coordinator1 point

I'm not sure the Chiefs are still the Chiefs, but they'll spend the week seething in their anger over losing at home to the Raiders and come out strong against the Bengals. It's very predictable. Was really hoping not to catch them coming off a loss. Gonna make the Bengals job a lot harder.1 point

Raiders simply dominant on defense. If the Bengals can be even half this next week, they will win1 point

I would prefer 6 straight wins and a Lombardi. LOL. That would be beyond a Festivus miracle, for sure. I think we're plummeting a bit, and I don't see a way out. With Bates and Bell the D was legit bend don't break, with timely big plays and turnovers keeping us right there. Now they're just....bad. Can't scheme, can't even tackle. There's always hope with the offense. We just got humiliated in Pissburgh but still put up about 400 yards of offense. The formula? The D putting us way behind. Jake making bad decisions in severe catch-up mode. And of course, Zac Taylor. I think we had a 2nd and 1 at the Pissburgh 9? Something like that. Couldn't convert and came away with zero points. They just can't impose their will for a yard and/or Zac dials up some low percentage/risky plays. I think we gave away the Houston game in similar fashion. First and goal at the Houston 7, under 2 minutes to play, down by 3, and we came away with a field goal while only burning about 25 seconds! That is almost impossibly bad game management. I like Zac's personality, but I never have confidence in his decision making.1 point

How much I fight has zero impact on the way the team plays or the outcome of any games. I would rather see THE TEAM fight. But we didn’t see that, did we? I have plenty of frustrations in my life…that I can control to some extent. Being a fan of this team often adds even more frustration that I have no control over (the uninspired play of this team; disappointing drafts; and stupid play-calling). I think as a self-preservation measure, I will (and do) detach myself from the team a bit after a shitshow like we witnessed today. Yes, we still have a shot at a post-season birth, but we FAILED to take advantage of a golden opportunity to greatly improve our post-season standings..with a pitiful display. So, while I do admire you hardcore fans and can appreciate your “we still got a chance” stance, for the betterment of my own health I need to push away a bit. If that makes me a lowly bandwagon fan, so be it. If that bothers you enough that you feel the need to call me out, then I would suggest that you put me on “ignore”.1 point

i understood when Burrow was calf limited.. however it needs to be recognized when in the shotgun the DL plays spread out , the offensive tackles are even more on an island because the DEs start so far out, and they can design the pass rush to get to the spot the QB stands at in the shotgun... when under center they cant spread out, the QB is moving either back 3 -5-7 steps or to rolling to either side or if the DTs spread out and not covering the center they are grabbing an easy 3-4 yards on a sneak. . .. and add in it gives the rb a running forward start . the more variables you stack for the defense the more they have to cover.1 point
