oldschooler
This may not be the "Death Penalty", but it sure as hell is the "Coma Penalty". Good Lord. I can't imagine any top recruit going there for years, with no chance at a Title or Bowl game for 4 years.
over/under on how many players transfer? I'm guessing 20.
Urban Myer is on the phone as I type this ....

fluhartz
man they got hammered, and deservedly so.... They will suck for years and years... it sucks for the players there.... they can transfer, but camps start in a week or so. Unless they are a super star, they aren't getting on another team. Oh well...

BigDawgBengal
While there needs to be punishments, I am not sure it's fair to punish all the current players and take all the wins away from the former players. They really had nothing to do with it.

AmishBengalFan
Pennsylvania, home to child rapists, those who defend them, and those who protect child rapists and their defenders, now has an apt representative. Franco Harris. This Pennsylvania State alumni, who later wore a uniform that was shared by steroid abusers and serial rapists like Ben Roethlisberger, has decided that he is unconvinced that Joe Paterno should be burning in hell right now. http://old.post-gazette.com/pg/12196/1246608-143.stm The actions by Jerry Sandusky, Paterno, the football program, the athletic department, and the entire university administration - to put Nittany Lion football ABOVE protecting the asses of several young children from being penetrated repeatedly by a peverted grown man's orgasming penis - were unconscionable. Those who knew but did nothing were as guilty as the sick perv who got off on this, and those who defend these people, are all as guilty. Franco Harris has just joined this club. |Numbers|
The Conti Professorship Program was established by alumni and friends of the Penn State School of Hospitality Management in 1987 to honor Walter J. Conti for his contributions to the School, to Penn State, and to the hospitality profession. Those who are named Conti Professors—themselves recognized leaders within the hospitality industry—visit the school on a regular basis to interact with students and faculty, present guest lectures in hospitality and foodservice management, and speak at graduate and undergraduate colloquia. The PatternMaster
Am I the only getting sick of Joe Pa's family statements about the facts on this case? No matter what factual info comes out that makes their father look bad they refute will everything but facts that state otherwise. This case has been going on for years and if there was something that cleared Joe Pa don't you think it would have been known about by now? sparky151
The focus on PSU in connection with Sandusky's crime is out of place. It was the parents, foster parents, social workers, and teachers who failed these children to a much greater degree than various coaches and administrators at PSU. I think the order of culpability goes Sandusky.............. then way behind him would be any eyewitnesses like McQueary and the janitors, then the DA who declined to prosecute in 1998, even when the victim, his mother, and the police wanted to proceed. Next would be the Second Mile Foundation, Mrs Sandusky, and other enablers. Then the people whose legal duty it was to protect the children. Then people who looked the other way, including those at PSU. It's worth remembering that the Freeh report was commissioned by the board of trustees. They have an obvious interest in moving on and putting this behind them as fast as possible. They don't have an interest in extending the presumption of innocence or allowing alternative narratives. The Pennsylvania Attorney General and grand jury disagree with Freeh on various points. The Curley and Schultz defense teams will surely have their own theories of what happened. Paterno's family will too.
