It is 52 here today and is has been raining like crazy. I am digging the weather. It is supposed to get up to the low 80s late next week. I thought we lost our water heater yesterday. It is in the crawl space....but it turned out that there is one down spout on the side of house where all the water comes down (way too close to the foundation). Water came up under the foundation and since the water heater is in the lowest part, it pooled up with water yesterday. I extended the down-spout out into the yard last night and the crawl space is drying very quickly AND I don't need to replace the water heater (anyway yet). |Montana Bengal|
We spent half a day yesterday trying find the right size gas water heater....apparently all the supply places in town are closed on weekends and the chains don't stock the right ones. Glad I didn't find it!
oldschooler
Every year since 1792, a fresh edition of the Old Farmer’s Almanac has made predictions about the following year’s major weather patterns. The 2015 book, which is out now, foretells a winter that’s colder than usual in the East, but warmer than average in the West. In terms of snow and rain, here’s what the almanac says is in store for the United States this winter: Snowfall will be above normal in most of the Northeast, although below normal in much of New England. Florida will have above-normal rainfall, while most of the southeastern and central states will have below-normal precipitation. We expect above-normal snowfall from eastern Arizona into the Big Bend of Texas and above-normal rainfall from parts of inland Washington into the northwest corner of Montana and just north of California’s Bay region. Other areas in the western third of the country, including most of California, should have below-normal precipitation. http://parade.condenast.com/328906/viannguyen/2015-weather-forecasts-from-the-old-farmers-almanac-theres-good-news/

|High School Harry|
Somehow... watching five of the last seven home games betweenNovember 7 (day after Browns game) until the last game of the season on December 28 from home in front of the fireplace looks pretty sweet, imo. However... our home field playoff gameS are going to be a tad chilly fer sure.
