I'll always love Burfict. 🧡

He's the player that officially gave the Bengals their balls back and altered the AFC North forever. I would put him in the ROH as well.

I'm in on that but doubt that happens

Aside from some fight in Vegas where the charges were dropped, did he have any other legal issues?

Insane to me that Stealers being pissbabies turned this guy into some kind of dangerous menace as compared to the actual pieces of shit like DeShaun Watson or the long list of wife-beating dirtbags, drug addicts & serial drunk drivers the NFL has no problem protecting.  Go ahead and rape women in public restrooms but don't you dare tackle someone too hard!

Who is a bigger piece of shit, Burfict or Roger Goodell?  It's not even a fair question TBH.

NFL did him dirty.  100% scapegoat.

The stealers never played dirty and rashee rice has 8 felony counts for driving 108 mph but that's just fine

The list of actual miscreants doing heinous shit off the field in the real world and still suiting up every Sunday like nothing happened is miles long.

Dropping the hammer on Burfict was all about dodging a CTE lawsuit.  "Look, we're doing something! It was all this guy!"

Looking forward to watching this new Vince McMahon documentary.  I think Goodell's tenure will be looked at kind of the same way - the "sports entertainment" era of the NFL.  Profits over everything.

Season Ticket Holders, watch your mail.

The Stripes have begun mailing STHs decals with numbers corresponding each account's "Streak" count. The letter that accompanies the pair of decals claims you will get additional decals each year, and it encourages you to show them off on your car or other places.

The account I share with LT is 43. I know several of you have higher numbers, this isn't a contest.

IIRC, if a season ticket account gets really long in years, the team puts a brick or something out for you—like Hollywood. Original from the beginning accounts have already been recognized. Figure we may see it too…eventually

If so, it will not occur before 54.

If the weather on Sunday is dry (and I don't forget) I'll bring you your decal.  If not, I'll let the postman handle it.  If you don't want it, let me know.

Hey.... I put this question out via FB a few days ago but the responses were not much help.  Maybe y'all can take a crack?

If a foreign friend who loves the Bengals was visiting Cincinnati for a week asked you for things to see while there, what would be on your list?

(Assume you've arranged for game tickets and several tailgate invitations on Sunday.)

My list:
- Cincinnati Zoo
- Riverboat Cruise
- Jungle Jim's
- Findlay Market
- Camp Washington/Dixie Chili (because mom & pop beat out corporate)
- Newport Hofbrauhaus
- B-Line Bourbon Trail (link: http://thebline.com)
- Reds Game(*)
- Side trip to Dayton to visit the Air Force Museum and take in a Flyers Game(*)

(*) = If seasons overlap with the visit

What else?

If you'll suffer a few notes:

Riverboat Cruise - If you go with BB make sure it's for the replica boat and not the cheaper converted barge thing they do..  Whole operation seems kinda bootleg to me but it varies with the cruise.

Jungle Jim's if they have kids or want to score some good booze or cigars, otherwise Findlay I think is more fun for grazing or throwing together a picnic.

I would skip Hofbrau for Amber Rose if they're going to Dayton or Mecklenburg Gardens if that ever reopens.

Lastly, that Air Force Museum is huge and you're gonna be hiking to see everything in a day.  An aviation buff can spend a couple of days there np.

Couple others that might be of interest to some:

Ft Ancient &/or Morgan canoes on the Little Miami are a great seasonal option if they want to do something outdoors.

Miami & Erie Canal Lock 34 in Middletown.  Not a lot to see but it's a quick stop.

Walking across the Roebling

Thanks

No kids, but I've been to both JJ and FM and much prefer the weirdness and uniqueness of Jim's.  Findlay is ... well ... basically, a farmer's market with a few extra features.  And as Scottish expats, they might find some food at JJs that they haven't had in ages (Irn Bru?) and wax nostalgic.  If time permits, both.  If not, I would let them decide but would recommend Jim's - the original store, not the new one on the far east side.

I'm originally from the Gem City so can advise them about what they would be in for if they went to the AFM.  In fact, if the AFM intrigues them I would suggest they consider staying overnight, especially if the Flyers were at home. That way they could also get some Pizza Factory for supper - Ultimate Cheese, Pepperoni, Mushroom + Sausage with extra sauce on thick crust... yum!

Didn't know about Amber Rose.  My Google Fu is strong, I'll be an expert on that in no time.

Riverboat - check.  I've done both and did get suckered into a dinner barge cruise.  Wasn't quite what I was hoping for, wouldn't make them do that.
