Coaching... The talent it there. It's on coaching. Anarumo needs to go.

A respectful and rare disagreement.

I do not think the talent is there.

ie the center of our defensive line.  Carter and Tofu would have difficulty with a decent college offense,

Throw in Old Mother Hubbard and the once promising Joseph Ossai is

out of here when his contract expires this season.

Our linebackers are erratic and when one veteran is so stupid as to line up with

his head so far across the line of scrimmage that he can tell what brand of chewing gum

the opposing quarterback is chewing it is inexcusable.

The Electric Kool Aid Dax Hill Acid Test is over and he is an epic suck.

Cam Taylor-Shitt needs to STFU or Tim Krumrie ought to come out of retirement long enough to

put his fist down Taylor-Swift's pie hole.

When asked what position he played, Geno Stone replied "Pull my finger".

The same players looked fine against the Chiefs

And the outcome was the same as against New England and New England Act Two.

We've heard chemistry, communication, gelling yada but sub par and erratic play from

sub par players ain't getting it done.

This seems logical. We jnow we are very injured on the DL but the play of the defense overall was just Division II level.

Question now is - will they bounce back or just tap out.

1.) You can't trade Tee yet.  Maybe at the deadline if this truly spirals down the shitter and it's a completely lost season.

2.) Regarding the draft itself

--- Round 1: Sell your soul if necessary for Deone Walker DT Kentucky 6'5" 348lbs

--- Round 2: Hope and pray for a good DE to somehow slide, if not then the best CB or Safety

Offensive Look

QB Burrow 29 Browning 26 Woodside
RB Moss 26 Brown 27 Williams 25 Milton
WR Chase 26   Burgess
WR Iosivas 27 Irwin 25 Pryor
WR Burton 28 Jones 27
TE Gesicki 25 Sample 27 All 28 McClachlan 28 Grandy
LT Brown 27
LG Volson 26 Kirkland 25 Manning
C Karras 26 Lee 28 Hill
RG Cappa 26 Ford 25
RT Mims 29   Cochran

Free Agents

Evans 25
Higgins 25
Hudson 25
Brown 25
Smith 25

I assume they will want Gesicki back and will pay up a little bit. Irwin, Williams and Ford all back on minimum deals.

Questions on offense will be what happens at WR  Much of that could be answered this season with the play of Burton and Yoshi.

Gesicki will be 29 next week and has made 25M over his career. He fits Burrow perfectly. Will be interesting to see if he leaves for more money or if they go up to about 5-6M for a year or 2.

If the season keeps going this way they need to trade Higgins.

I don't expect Trent Brown back

They will be looking to draft an OL and WR

I assume all the coaches are back but it's possible WR coach moves on to an OC role.

Short of guard the talent on offense is there.

Short of Trey Hendrickson, the talent on defense isn't. And I'm not even down on Wilson and Pratt they both are in impossible positions for everyone else around them being bad or a jag.

Cam Toast Britt should just put his head down shut up and work because he's nothing more than a CB2 at this point.

I love Hubbard but he's washed, Hill is a bust, Hilton should come around but he was bad at the start of last season too. Both safeties are average.

Talking about the draft when we do not draft well on defense at all is not reassuring and not something to look forward to.

Lou isn't the problem. In NE, they had guys in the right spots and couldn't tackle worth an isht. KC game they played pretty well, especially vs. the pass. Just didn't make the play(s) when it counted... including the offense not punching it in in the red zone enough.

Last night, yeah  - they laid an egg but on both long passes, just bad technique on the first one and Hill bit just for a second on the double move and it was over. Tremendous pass and catch... it happens. Safeties didn't play well either.

Their lack of talent up front got exposed. Outside of Tre, they have nobody, currently. Sam isn't good, Ossai stunk, LBs didn't do enough.. and the depth guys inside weren't good, save for Jenkins who didn't look bad for a one-handed DT playing in his first NFL game.

If there's one common theme under Lou's tenure, it's not having "closers" that make plays when it counts. Too many times, they can't get off the field on 3rd down (or 4th down) and last night, 3rd down was egregiously bad, because almost all of them were less than 5 yards. Just atrocious performance... reminded me of the Houston game last year when they couldn't make a stop, save for the pick 6 by CTB.

Watching the rookie shred the zone yesterday made me ill.  First series the Commanders ran right at Hubbard.  His specialty is supposed to be stopping the run and one guy eliminated him almost the entire night.  The second week in a row a tackle eligible play scored a touchdown against the Bengals.   There are scheme issues and personnel issues.  The safety changes have done zilch to help.  Old guy may know what to do, but can't do it anymore.

Time for the Defense

LE Murphy 27 Johnson 28 Henry
LT Jenkins 28 Tufele 25 Jackson 28 Rogers
RT Rankins 26   Carter 26 Davis
RE Hendrickson 26 Hubbard 26 Thomas
WLB Pratt 26 Njongmeta 27
MLB Wilson 28 Heyward
S Battle 27 Anthony 28 Jules
S Stone 26 Anderson 26
CB Taylor-Britt 26 Newton 28 Brooks
CB Hill 27 Ivey 27 Robinson 28
NB Turner 27 Davis

Free Agents

Hill 25
Sample 25
Guy 25
Ossai 25
Davis-Gaither 25
Bachie 25
Bell 25
Hilton 25

Tufele back on a league minimum. Probably Bachie as well. I could see Bell righting things and being back.

-At LB you will have guys stepping into depth roles. You want Davis Gaither back but I wouldn't count on that. He should be starting somewhere.

-Safety I have no idea what we have. None

-CB I think we are good here outside of run support. CTB gave up a couple plays but he's a stud. Hill should be solid and Turner or Newton are probably the future in the slot if Hill is not.

-DE needs more bodies. Will have to see what Murphy and Johnson brings as the year progresses. I really liked both in TC and PS

-DT is as big of a question mark as they come.

Honestly, that might have been the last NFL game for Trent Brown, at least as a starter.

He's 6'8", 380 lbs. at age 31 and going through a knee operation for a torn patellar tendon.  That's not a good situation for him or his career going forward and there were already concerns about his durability.

I wouldn't re-sign any of the free agents aside from Sample at a team friendly price.

Motley crew.
