Googling "Tee Higgins injury history" lead me to this site which I guess is a fantasy football website. The list here to go along with the missing 35% of available snaps since being here due to injury is pretty crazy and probably why you don't extend him at $28-30M per year. Also, he left the national championship game at half due to hamstring and didn't return that isn't listed. Talent, absolutely. Availability, not so much. https://www.draftsharks.com/fantasy/injury-history/tee-higgins/10607 1 1 Quote

Burrow to me is more of a "freak" injury list though. He missed time the most due to the freaky knee and a rare wrist injury. The calf was IMO due to mismanagement by himself as well as the entire staff. Higgins' injuries are repeated soft tissue strains which in most (and his case) tend to be often repeat offenders. And this seems to be no fault of his own because he reportedly does go through some pretty rigorous stretching routines. Quote
Jamie_B Posted November 8, 2024 Report Posted November 8, 2024 The needs CB1, DE, WR. Then likely G, 3Tech, S Lower down the list but something we could use RB There are some pretty decent and fairly young CBs in FA, DEs not as much. Tee is the top WR IMO, but they arent going to resign him, brining in a bridge guy or taking WR at the top? I think I wait a year on WR for a first round pick in 2026. We are still a top O when Tee isn't on the field as last night showed, Joe can still ball out when it's just Jamar and a bunch of role players. We really need to address how bad the defense is, and we need to find a guard that can run and pass block. I think I go get DJ Reed who will be 28 this offseason an offer him a front loaded 4 year deal, so we can let him go on the backend. Then I draft a DE with the first pick even if we have to move up to get someone better than Myles Murphy. I take the best guard in the 2nd round and I fill out from there. 1 Quote

The team has been addressing the defense heavily in the last 3 drafts. A whopping 8 out of 10 premium round (1st-thru-3rd) picks have been on the defensive side of the ball. It is actually the offense that has been ignored in recent drafts, even though it is still far better than the defensive side. One absolutely critical blunder is letting Jessie Bates walk away in free agency, even though he was eager to sign an extension at market value to remain in Cincinnati. Now he is the best free safety in the league, and maybe slightly underpaid in Atlanta. They have struggled in vain to replace anywhere close to what Bates provided on the back end. It was a truly stupid front office decision. 1 Quote

Teams are not excited about this group of passers because each feels more like a risky bet than a safe one. That doesn’t mean one or two won’t be drafted in the top 10. That doesn’t mean a few of these quarterbacks won’t eventually become established NFL starters.
