Carson Wants Out

Recommended Posts

Its funny to me that grown men get so offended when an employee of a particular corporation does what we all wish we had the power to do. He decided one day that he was not going to come to work for a company which he did not enjoy working for. Either he would go work for a company he enjoyed working for or he would gladly retire with millions he had saved intelligently.

Is that not his right? Don't YOU wish you could do that? Truly, that is the essence of freedom of life, liberty, and the pursuit of HAPPINESS is it not? And to have the financial clout to do it! And what happened? He won. He is now making millions playing in his home town, on the West Coast where he wanted to play.

I envy him in this regard. And somewhere deep down, there is a little envy at the root of all the hate. I don't hate him because of what happened. I 'hate' him because he is the enemy tomorrow. Simple. I'd like for any player who leaves the Bengals to be beaten down in their return. Aight. I'm done with Rosie Palmer.

And we don't work for an employer that pays us multi-million dollars a year, and bent over backwards to give us everything we asked for.

Still a lot of talk about "rights". Carson's rights, fan's rights.. Having a "right" to something does not mean exercising that right is going to be free from any and all consequences. We're free to do all sorts of fool things that we probably shouldn't. Have ice cream for dinner, invest all your savings in Garbage Pail Kids, become a multimillionaire QB and shit on almost everyone that made it happen because you couldn't keep it in your pants.. Whatever you do, the people it affects will have a reaction and valid or not, no amount of arguing is going to make them not react. I will say that pretending to take the high road and throwing a bunch of other people under the bus when you know you fucked up is pretty low. Whether the particular could've-been QB in question did all that, I don't know. Either way I want him to get his ass kicked, but I feel that way about anyone lining up across from my team.

30+ god damn pages, it's a Yes concept album in here

Funny you mention the ACLU...because a certain recently departed poster has allegedly done just that because his "rights" were violated...

Sports are different than the real world. Players only have jobs with multi-million dollar contracts because of fans. When a player signs a contract, then refuses to honor it, fans have a right to be pissed.

It amazes me you think this way, but cant understand why I get upset about how the economy isnt driven from the top down but from the bottom up.

but im not going to let this go to j&d forum stuff

First of all, I think this way (Sports are different than the real world. Players only have jobs with multi-million dollar contracts because of fans. When a player signs a contract, then refuses to honor it, fans have a right to be pissed.) because it is inarguably true.

Secondly, what the fuck are you talking about? I rarely post at all in the J&W forum, yet somehow get all kinds of shit attributed to me.

Lastly, fuck Carson!

^_^

Much like businesses only exist because of consumers not because of so called "job creators"

but I digress, this is going to j&d stuff....

For what it's worth, Carson Palmer can be seen on "Raiders Report" (http://raiders.com) wearing Xavier sweatpants pic.twitter.com/VgVqaPkY

I'm not trying to bash the guy, but man that does not look like a picture of an NFL quarterback.
