Thanks for the in depth analysis. Mediocrity is our Superbowl.

He actually goes on to post at least 8 wins, and the break down of how it might go. Perhaps you could pony up a prediction of your own instead of just taking pot shots?

I'm tired of hoping the team will surprise.

This is sad. You are being optimistic? Really?

You stated 8 wins. 8 fucking wins and that's optimistic?

What is wrong with you? That's a pessimistic viewpoint anywhere else.

In Cleveland?

8 games would mean 4 more happy Sundays than I had last year. I hope we do win at least 8 games. I feel like that's a bit too optimistic, but we have replaced losses and we have grabbed some pieces too.

I hope we grab a few more FA's. Another backer, a veteran pass rusher, Ced, and a fullback and I'd totally be down with at least 8 wins.

You don't like the fullbacks we have? I'm okay with them. Kinda hoping Fui can get a little Alstot in the running game.

Fui is hurt too much for my taste. Especially at such a physcially demanding position.

I think to help take pressure off Dalton, they need to get a bruiser to block for whatever back is back there. Pressley could do that, but he is young. We need results now. I'd love to see them go all out for Le'Ron. He is a triple threat. He can catch, run, and he's basically an O-lineman running at you. Vontae Leach just propelled Arian Foster to a nasty season.

Essentially, I'm nitpicking, because it isn't a huge issue. But a awesome fullback can go a long way and the decline in the run game last year could somewhat be pointed at the lack of one altogether.

I never pony up predictions until after training camp. Making predictions today is simply uneducated guessing.

8 wins would be a good season considering our EPIC offseason.

Ladies and gentlemen, Bengal fans. Please rise and welcome back your 2011 bengals!

This squad won 8 games despite losing quality players. They will be honored along side the 1981 and 1988 afc champion squads.

Who dey!

And the award for "Asshole of the Pre-season" goes to SCHARM!!!

If I could find a casino stupid enough to put the O/U at 8 wins, I would rush to the bank, withdraw all of my savings and take the under.

Look, I hope the Bengals win every single game, and every year my BS prediction is always 16-0 (why not?), but if we are talking realistic, then I would say 5 wins would be a sucessful season.

If this team wins more than 4 games I'll be super surprised. Who's the most experienced receiver we have? Caldwell?

I'll take whatever the Bengals throw at me and watch every game, but my expectations aren't all that high. Maybe in 4 years the current cast (if they can keep everyone from leaving in free agency the next 4 years) will be able to compete..for the division...maybe.

I'm not a big fan of rebuilding under a coach who's been here nearly a decade and hasn't won a playoff game. I know they're saying this isn't a rebuilding year...but I'm not stupid enough to believe the bullshit. If you want to rebuild then get another coach in here and let him choose his guys. Marvin hasn't done a god damn thing in Cincinnati.

I think it will be a fun team to watch with the youth and a bunch of guys who seem to have a great attitude. I'm just hoping to see signs that Andy is the guy, AJ is going to be a stud and that some young guys emerge on defense. If those things happen, losses aren't going to ruin my day. If those things happen, it won't matter much to be if we win 2 games, 5 games, or 8 games. If you don't make the playoffs, who really gives a shit the specific W/L number?

But if people really think this team is going to be good and win the division and/or make the playoffs, they're just not living in the real world. There's being a homer and supporting your team and then there's also talking out of your ass and making a fool of yourself....
