^ I think if the team is going to spend on more DBs, they need to bring Flowers back first. He should be first priority, 6'3 size and can cover TEs is a rare skill set.

the league isnt going to give us anything anyway, they'll take bates bell and hurst leaving and somehow it will equal Brown the safety and the TE.

if he is worth what he is asking grab him. you cant have too many quality safety/DBs these days.

True but the foundation of a great team is QB Oline and front 7..

Absolute necessary to have good depth In those areas as well imo..

The way the comp picks are assigned is they match up qualifying free agents gained and lost.  Teams which sign more than they lose don't get comp picks. Teams which lose more than they gain get picks.  It also goes by APY on their contracts.

So Bates offsets Brown, Perine offsets Smith, Bell offsets Scott.

Minimum benefit guys like Ford, Jones, and Basham don't count.

Looks like a 5th and 6th as it stands now.

honestly i understand keeping an eye to the future with picks, ,   right now we have the ability and attention of the free agent world,   we will see a whole lot more of 1 year prove it  deals with people making concessions to be here,  more so then settling to be here..

so use it while we have it.

That's missing Irv Smith, who will offset Hurst even though he makes a lot less.

Irv Smith is there and he didn't make enough to offset Hurst

That's interesting. Smith played out his contract and got more than the minimum salary. It used to be the non-qualifiers were people who had been released (ie Zeke Elliott), or signed 1 year deals for the minimum or who signed after June 1.
