Saw some snippets from Diana Rossini re trade deadline.

Who knows if there’s any truth to it but she was reporting that the Bengals are sniffing around CB and DL as possible trades. And no, no intention of trading away Tee.

The name cited was Aseez Ojulari of the NYG… he’s a DE pass rush specialist type that went to UGA. He was a stud there.

I’ve always really liked him.. he’s still young, he’s bright and he can get after the QB (ask the Bengals, as I believe he had 2 sacks a few weeks ago). And the Giants would still be pretty well-stocked at DE with young guys who are making coin.

He would be a great get so I guess (hope?) he’s a name to watch. Maybe a 5th round kinda compensation? I mean, Uche was a 6th, so…

That said, it’s an indictment on the front office that Ossai and Murphy (and at CB, CTB and Turner) are all young, high picks and they are looking to bolster both spots (according to the article).

Ravens' Lamar Jackson sits out practice with injuries

Jamison Hensley, ESPN Staff WriterOct 30, 2024, 06:55 PM ET

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- After Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson didn't practice Wednesday, coach John Harbaugh said the NFL's reigning Most Valuable Asshole was given a "rest day."

The injury report provided a different explanation a few hours later: Jackson was listed with back and knee injuries.

"He's been playing great, and we have a lot of football in front of us," Harbaugh said. "We have another big game coming up, so that was warranted today."

The Ravens (5-3) play host to the Denver Broncos (5-3) on Sunday. Jackson hasn't missed a game due to injury since the end of the 2022 season

The injury designation for Jackson comes three days after he participated in all 68 offensive snaps for Baltimore in a 29-24 loss at the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Be wonderful to see the Broncos rough him up Sunday in a Denver W and

we finish the bitch off early Thursday night in a Bengals W.

I'd hate for him to have to miss their Thursday night game next week.

would be a real shame

I'm saying I want to see him beaten up in the Denver loss Sunday

and new Bengals DT. Chase Young, puts him out for the season.

It would be uncharacteristically for them but he could help the pass rush no?

I think Harry is on to something.

I don't think they are going to trade for a backup DE

I look at it as rotational.

Ossai sucks and Murphy isn't what we thought he would be.

Even that. But lets ask this. If we are looking to trade for a DE that speaks to the lack of development of Ossai and Murphy, why would we bring in a guy that would also need development when we cant seem to develop our own guys? We are giving Pollack a lot of deserved criticism, why has Hobby missed any fire from the fans?

Good point but Young has been tired in Washingyom and Frisco.

He's not a star but he does bring pressure and has a lot of hits this year.

Ad far as Hobby goes...I'm not seeing much in his coaching tactics to elevate players.

Question

Id our whole coaching staff underperforming.

Is it due to they got most of them on the cheap?

Lack of accountability.  The Bengals don't fire coaches and no one knows that better than the Bengals' coaches.

The New Orleans Saints have fired coach Dennis Allen after losing their seventh straight game Sunday, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.

Special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi has been named the interim coach, sources told Schefter.

Saints have had massive injuries including Derek Carr.

NFL...not for long stays intact.

Maybe that’s the reason Chase Young didn’t get any playing time this past week…he’s on the verge of being traded.

Forgive my ignorance. But what will it take to make this deal?

Next to nothing.  Just need to take over the salary.  He doesn’t even start for NOLA, injuries have turned him into a marginal  3rd down pass rusher.

He isn’t very good.

You’re asking the wrong person, I have no idea what his price tag will be in terms of draft picks. Maybe a 4th or 5th rounder is what I figure but I’m no Duke Tobin.

Thats unfortunate for a former 2nd overall pick and once mighty DE.

Unfortunately, not all “successful” ACL surgeries are totally successful.   He was never the same after that.
