I think they will shoot for someone who has some versatility and won't cost too much. I think this is probably the list they look at. Wynn makes some sense because he can play LG

Seems Allways injured.

Last year was first full one.

985 snaps

18 penalties

12 sacks allowed

53 pff.

As you certainly know, very few FA’s of superior quality will be within the Bengals’ erstwhile price range.

“untapped potential” is the selling point for the peanuts they might be willing to take away from Uno to pay anyone else.

Yikes, maybe they should bring back Jonah after all if this is their alternative.

Is his connection to Pollack supposed to be a selling point or was that more like trivia? 🙄

Curious what his numbers looked like the year that Pollack was with the Jets?

Pollack was Jets Oline coach in

2019 and 2020.

Bechton missed all of 2019 injury..

2020 he had

691 snaps

6 penalties

6 sacks

74.4 pff

2021 and 22 injured

I want to see Chase put up some big numbers this year.

I know he's a top WR

But.

30 mil per is a helluva lot of money .

I'm sure they'll sign him to a multi year extension even so.

I would sign Becton on a "prove it" deal (2 yr / 10 mill) and still draft Patrick Paul (similar body types) ... Then let them battle it out for the RT position in training camp. #IronSharpensIron

I propose a 2 yr 10 mil contract to Elumanor .( Where both parties walking away satisfied) .

Bechton is not dependable.

Because he's been more 'dependable', he's likely looking for something like 4 yr / 36 mill.

He's flirted with the Bengals and Burrow on twitter, which means he might take a discount. But not that big I predict.

There are reasons that OK-quality linemen (or players in general) are going to be available once this annual round of musical chairs begins.

Not everything is “not enough money” either. Teams “move on” from their OK’s also because they are just OK…and that OK-ness “moves on” to other teams (like the Bengals). Lateral moves for both.

If they likely pay close to the same amount for an OK Becton, etc., I always wonder why they just don’t keep the current OK Jonah?

Just navel gazing.

why dont we keep Jonah ??? did you think our OL play was acceptable?

No!  there is your answer on Jonah.

so we blame the lack of a run game on the RB,

we dont blame the QB for  poor pass blocking

we also seem to blame the RB....,

Do  you all seriously this just changing out Mixon and running the same 5 OL out again is going to fix everything? let  alone fix  anything?

didnt we have pretty much the same 5 out there all year ?

well once the preseason was over and we let them play in live action on day 1 reg season..

the OL needs fixing. the only reason we seen any improvement from the start of the season to the end is because they sucked so bad in week 1.

... Because Jonah is worth about 9 a year and likely thinks he's worth twice that at 18.

Alright…so what does that translate towards the other OK-or-less-quality replacements on the open market?

It was a hypothetical question, not an endorsement.

If he is OK-or-less…you have to find an OK-or-better for replacement. And…because there is “no money”…they need to be “on the cheap”. Do any of the projected FA’s mentioned meet that criteria?
