TigerJ@w
The one article just admitted Burrow and Chase fell into his lap but, don't let that get in the way of your thinking he should not be on the hot seat. I see the same excuses are being said like they were for good ole Mediocre Marv so I guess that means Zac has 8 more years no matter what he does from here on out.
T-Dub
No one could have foreseen that a DL combination of Sheldon Rankins and some mid-round rookies would be a problem. No one is to blame. No one is ever to blame. The Bengals are the only team to have injured players and you are all stupid and idiots and poo-poo heads if you think anyone in the organization could possibly do anything at all to compensate for those injuries. May as well just lay down and die & hope there are no injuries next year, particularly to crucial spots like the 3rd string DL. 1

More likely that they end up in the neighborhood of .500 and we don’t see any major changes. We can always dream about landing a head coach with name recognition or good pedigree but the front office will always keep that from happening. Things are just run differently here and plenty of coaches want no part of it. Plus the likes of Andy Reid get paid multiple times higher than this team would pay. I think Reid is at $25M this season (read that somewhere but it seems high) , other great coaches at say $10M + and Zac at what $3M?
Bleeds Orange
As much as I despise the Stealers, I respect that they have (historically, at least) known how to run a franchise, and they have stuck with Tomlin despite: not winning a playoff game since 2016 winning only three playoff games since 2010 (one of which was the one the Bengals gifted them in 2015) going 10-7, 9-8, 9-7-1, 8-8, and 9-6-1 in five of the past six seasons Granted, Tomlin won a Super Bowl with them and got them to another two years later, but that was 14 years ago. The players seem to like Zac and they got results with him the past three seasons (I was impressed by 9-8 with no Burrow and one of the toughest schedules in league history), so I'm not convinced that Zac can't overcome his shortcomings, which are mind-blowingly stupid in-game decisions and allowing the team to play down to its competition. So many head coaches can't get over the hump with their first job, get fired, then figure it out (in some cases) and win a championship at their next stop. Pete Carroll, Belichick, Dungy, Tom Coughlin, Mike Shanahan, Andy Reid, Gary Kubiak, to name a few. Maybe Taylor can figure it out here, I don't know. He's gonna have to stop doing things like that overtime last Sunday, though.

He signed a 5 yr 100 mil contract. Jim and John Hairballs make 16 and 12 respectfully..

The issue here may be - speculating now - that in order for to learn from one's mistakes we must first admit they were mistakes. So long as the team is just "one or two bad bounces" away from being 5-0 (or whatever), improvement remains elusive.

Too many of the same mistakes again and again. You watch other teams dictate and be creative and find ways to do things with less, and then you see this team throw to 2 WRs. At some point you just get stale....I think we are there on offense. If I had to gamble I would bet that Taylor stays and Anarumo is replaced by Brandon Staley at years end....and Taylor is replaced after 2025. Statistically the offense seems fine overall but it's so one sided and lacks so much creativity that you are wasting Burrow. You also shouldn't need 2 top 15 WRs to succeed. 2
LostInDaJungle
You realize that Mike and Katie would NEVER give over the control that Belichick wants. Plus, they like to have people they like be the coach. I can't even see Vrabel as being that pliant to their idiosyncrasies. Someone like Bienemy is my guess... Desperate enough to land a HC gig that he'd even work for the Brown Family, respectable enough to sell season tickets.

I_C_Deadpeople
Although the Zac could get fired is a pipe dream, lets look at this scenario. Lets say JB walks into the Brown/Blackburn offices and says we need to make changes in coaches, etc. Does Mikey pull the same power move he did with Palmer or does JB have enough influence that it would work? I also assume he would say 'you need to sign Chase NOW, otherwise...."
UncleEarl
As I've been saying for weeks, if Taylor doesn't make the playoffs with this talented of a team he should be fired. Firing him now would do no good. As bad as the defense is regularly, when the game looks lost they seem to be quitting. This is really a bad look on the coaches, IMO. Of course none of this will happen. Taylor has two years on his contract. The Brown family isn't eating that. Mikey Boy is known to be ever so patient, but with his years being short could he pull that trigger? We can only hope.
