Bengals to sign John Miller.

Recommended Posts

I'm impressed.  Not only are the Bengals signing mediocrity, they are trying to ensure they are well-stocked with it for the next three years.

They should have signed Dennis Miller, the team needs some comic relief

If Dennis Miller was 1/2 as funny as he thinks he is he wouldn't be such a has-been.

OLine looking like same shit. Maybe Price can show some improvement.  About the only shot and I wouldn't bet anything of value on that.

Yeah, after letting an all pro left tackle walk but that is just a minor point.

So they should have kept doing nothing to fix their fuck up? I gave him an example of them being creative in acquiring talent. They can do it , if they desire to.

Not saying he's the answer there but a rookie center is almost guaranteed to improve.  Well, unless your new OL coach's motivational techniques include encouraging Price's teammates to blow up his phone with rape threats towards his family.  (Yeah, that happened.)

I've watched Billy Price since he was a freshman in HS. I promise ya...that kid will be just fine.

bengalsb_logo.gif Bengals sign G John Miller (3 years, $16.5 million): D- Grade
Do you think there's a book out there called Free Agency for Dummies? If so, the Bengals sorely need it in the wake of the Marvin Lewis firing.

Chapter One: Don't sign mediocre backups to contracts worth more than $5 million per season. This is what the Bengals did with John Miller. The former Buffalo guard can provide somewhat decent depth because of his starting experience, but this contract makes it seem as though the Bengals potentially envision him as a starter. If so, this will end disastrously for the Bengals.

I nearly graded this signing an "F," but it's not quite as horrendous as some of the other moves the Bengals have made this offseason, as it doesn't hit the $6 million-per-year threshold that the others did.

Yeah, Price and Boling are the least of my concerns on the o-line.

He is quite funny to highly intelligent people.

Only funny to those who erroneously fancy themselves intelligent.

Some people think he is funny some don’t. It is not for you to decide. I don’t like hip hop music, my kids do. No sweat off my back.

Real comedy has been dead for decades.

Other than the Bengals free agency periods, which continue to supply many laughs.

Seems to be an upgrade over Redmond. Maybe Hart will benefit from having a little more talent next to him. We can all only hope.

He does hair-trigger psycho so well.  Pesci's kind of disappeared as of late, did I miss a scandal? Did he actually murder someone for real?

JFC. This team isn't going to do anything to improve.

He's an improvement over Alex Redmond who can't stop getting penalties.
