Jim Turner, strikes again. The line being a shit-show, between the "retirements", the guys who have flat quit, the injuries and the WEIRD FUCKING DECISION to go all in on Hart goes back to Taylor's decision to hire his bullying friend who has never actually coached a good offensive line. This is lower than lost decade kinda stuff.

I nust have missed your quote earlier but yes the number  of "incidents" with the Oline is intriguing due to the fact that Turner is their coach....

I fire him now!

Damn he expresses his true feelings and he's an asshole cause he doesnt see it your way?

Maybe you should rethink about the possibility no?

No, it was more the fanboy comment that drew the anger.  And, no I don't change my position.  The Bengals pressured a guy with a concussion to come back before he was ready.  Pretty obvious at this point that the relationship between Glenn and the Bengals is permanently broken.  He obviously doesn't care about the money, he just wants out.

Now I will be the 1st tp say the Bengals Medical staff has proven it doesnt know crap about when a player is healthy enough to play or not , BUT  the bengals dont get to pressure anyone in concussion protocol An independent Dr says yea or nay and thats it,

If Glen is truly still having effects and worried about his health after 8 weeks  then retire,  If he  doesnt care about the money then retire..

if he just wants to be cut so he can go play elsewhere tough.  he cant have it both ways , he can not be cut if he is injuried, if he is healthy enough to be cut, he is healthy enough to play. or retire, but the bengals still hold his rights thats the price he pays for the 8 weeks of paychecks.

Glenn has seen many, many doctors, independent, specialists and otherwise, as you would expect from someone in protocol this long. For him to be fully cleared for practice as he was Wednesday, there was a lot of paperwork involved in all that from everyone.

Considering that medical records are legally protected to the nth degree I'm gonna go ahead and say that Dehner is full of shit

The fact he has seen multiple independent doctors is not protected health information.  The prognosis of those doctors is.

Sure, and my guess is that Glenn was shopping around for one that would tell him what he wanted to hear..  But that's a guess.  I'm seeing a whole lot of WARGLBARGL and righteous fury from a sports media that are creating these scenarios in their minds based on the thinnest of information.  I get there's not much else to latch on to covering an 0-6 team but making up things to be mad about & presenting them as what's actually happening is pretty lame.

Football is going to eat it's own.  Tons of evidence about concussions out there and we have teams and fans raising hell about a guy who needs some time to clear his symptoms.  Other sports that deal with concussions, including hockey, commonly have guys out as long as Glenn has been out.  They treat concussions seriously.  Not football.  Most are back in a couple weeks if not sooner.  No way that is right.  Tennessee QB had to leave the game after a so-so hit last night.  Why?  Had a concussion from last week's game.  Came back in a week.  Dumb.  Dangerous.  Just because a guy needs more than a couple weeks to recover from a concussion doesn't mean he should retire.  (Well, maybe everyone that gets a concussion should retire, but that's another argument.)  The brain needs time to heal and everyone doesn't heal at the same rate.  It's just unconscionable.

If you had actually ever lived with someone suffering from concussion symptoms you would sing a much different tune.

Dude was salty they wanted to move him to Guard.

When the Jonah got hurt and they wanted to move him to back to Tackle he said F You.

I'd trade him if I was running the show

Who would trade for this guy?  I guess it's possible but we aren't getting much, we'd be lucky to dump his salary at all.

An injury settlement seems more likely.

Bengals release defensive end to make room for Cordy Glenn

The Bengals and Cordy Glenn have to work on their relationship, but at least they have a roster spot.

Via Geoff Hobson of the team’s official website, Bengals coach Zac Taylor told reporters that the team was releasing defensive end Anthony Zettel. Glenn fills the roster spot since he was suspended last week for conduct detrimental to the team.

Taylor said Glenn was not in the building today, however, which means it’s probably too soon to assume everything is fine between them.

There was tension between the veteran tackle and the team regarding the handling of his preseason concussion, and when he was able to return. He missed the first six games prior to the suspension.

Injury settlement only works on injured players.  He has been cleared to play.

"I think the only thing that happened honestly is I got hurt," Glenn said before Thursday's practice. "That's just all that happened. It's not about not wanting to play."

Glenn, who has been out since the second preseason game, was suspended for a Week 7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars for internal disciplinary reasons. According to a ProFootballTalk report, Glenn and an unidentified Bengals coach got into a verbal altercation that resulted in the team-issued ban. The report came one day after Glenn cleared the concussion protocol and was a full participant at practice for the first time since Cincinnati's second preseason game, against the Washington Redskins.

Glenn mostly did individual drills on Thursday and is not expected to play in Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams in London.

"We gotta see some people get through practice before we consider playing him, and that hasn't happened with him," coach Zac Taylor said.

Glenn returned to practice Wednesday and worked with the scout team. He declined to get into any specifics regarding the injury.

Asked about his relationship with Taylor after the suspension, Glenn said it was good. The eight-year veteran said he just wants to help the Bengals (0-7) as much as possible.

"Of course I want to prove myself and do my share around here and help the team win and help out however I can," Glenn said. "It was just an injury, and I'm trying to move forward."

I wonder if Glenn plays after the bye

He will be gone after the trade deadline. So yeah, he might play but for a different team.

Can't see an 0-7 team trading away their best offensive linemen who is expressing a willingness to play. If they trade him we should all be livid.

Why?  The season is effectively over,  we know we can't count on him, and we're on the hook for close to $10 million next year on top of whatever he's still owed for this season.  Sure he's our best OL but that's just the last ham sandwich in Hungrytown. Getting someone else to eat his salary would be fantastic, in both the general and strict sense of the word unfortunately.

I barely watch the games anymore. It is too painful. The amount of people in the stands is embarrassing. They can't afford to make themselves worse, they need to win a few in a row to get some excitement going.

He is expressing a willingness to play?   By publicly asking for a trade and shopping for a second opinion after being cleared to play?

Own, stop trolling us.

Glenn doesn't want to play for the Bengals, probably never did. He's just doing and saying whatever he needs to play for another team.

He's not playing another game for the Bengals.
