  1. Holy shit! The Ravens called to trade for Tee and Duke or Mike Brown hung up on their ass! ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜† Beautiful.

  2. I like the decision not to pursue Tart because something seemed off.

  4. Actually I watched some highlights, he's got good feet and showed some moves. He's not just out there being a boulder in the middle of the line, dude can pass rush or chase down RB's. Showed some patience at times as well. He looks persistent which I like to see from the DL, a lot of young guys will decide they're out of a play and jog it off. He's still just a prospect & I think would definitely benefit from being in a rotation while he gets up to NFL conditioning, but I wouldn't hate it at #18.

  5. LOL...what...no...crazy man...why would we trade a former first-round pick that has played well enough and has a future on this team when they can sign or draft a NT. I don't think the Bengals or any NFL team takes that approach to the draft, where they move a guy up their draft board because of who they are not able to sign in FA. If they did that they would over draft players consistently, which doesn't help the player or the team. A player gets a draft grade that is determined by their ability and production during college, not by who the team was able to sign in FA. It's called staying true to the draft board, doing what you are suggesting would get you fired. Not surprised that he's getting a bad rap, getting released by 2 teams in one season isn't a good look. Both teams need DTs and one team released him and another team didn't bother to bring him back, similar to Becton but not worse..imo.

  6. Agreed. That is the only guarantee of the drfat. Oh wait, other than we will not select at QB anywhere near the top....2 guarantees. Amongst the gaurantees are.....nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition...

  7. I said, โ€œWhy the f--- did you not slide (protections)? And we just kind of laughed about it,โ€ Rankins recalled. โ€œYou know, (Taylor) was like, โ€˜You know what, man, you know, we probably should have.โ€™โ€ Ahahahaa... Yeah. Our HC maybe has no business being an OC. Heheh. Good one, Sheldon.

  8. Not sure. The 'Big' players were in context to OL (no clue on DL). Guessing Trent Brown or someone that is large.

  9. I'm hoping no news is good news and it means the Bengals aren't signing either guy. They both suck and signings would tell me they're OK with a bandaid solutions over an actual solution.

  10. In a dream world I would take Murphy, Paul, and package our two 3rd's to move up and take Sweat.

  11. I like the Rankins signing, he will improve the interior pass rush but they need to get a run stuffer to combat the teams in this division that ran all over the defense last year. Having Bell back and adding Stone should improve the run defense but they need a space eater that can dominate the line of scrimmage. Not thrilled about expecting a rookie to come in and be that guy as there is a huge difference between the NFL and CFB when it comes to technique and strength on the lines of scrimmage. Tart would be the next target as he's best player at position of need.

  12. Becton hasn't taken his other 2 visits yet either. So I'm totally confused. Why don't one of these beat writers do their job and ask Zac about Becton and Tart? Were they offered deals and contemplating it? Are we waiting on physicals? Did the Bengals decide against signing them after the Ruby's bill came due and they saw 7 appetizers on the check?

  13. I doubt Browning would fetch much in a trade. Just look at how little Fields, Pickett, or Mac Jones were traded for. Iโ€™m on board with your idea but the market just doesnโ€™t seem to be there, IMO.

  17. My only concern with taking him at #18 is that he's run down only type of player and typically those guys aren't drafted in the first round, if he's there in the 2nd round then, yes, take him. Also, to your point these big guys get worn down as the season goes along, he needs to be apart of a deep rotation. The Eagles drafted Jordan Davis in the top 10 last year and by the end of the season he was useless because he was playing more snaps at a higher level than he had ever played in his life. Yeah, I think he had a medical issue which is why he fell last year and he did end up getting hurt...Brown would be an ideal signing, but pairing him with a first-round rookie RT would be a huge get. Just sign him to a big 1 year deal, similar to Collins, with tons of incentives on playing time. Looks like Karras and Joey B are going back to Ruby's...it's a tough job but those steaks aren't going to eat themselves...lol

  18. I want this guy as a Bengal. Our Dline could take on any run game. I believe you said you'd consider trading Tee for 33 and 38 from some team Free to choose whoever in rd 1.. We could land Sweat at 33 and. receiver at 38 possibly .

  19. Let's bow our heads and thank the Jets for taking Zach Wilson in 2021 1 - JAX - Trevor Lawrence (Pro Bowler) 2 - NYJ - Zach Wilson (Jets can't even give him away) 3 - SFF - Trey Lance (2nd or 3rd string in DAL) 4 - ATL - Kyle Pitts (Pro Bowler) 5 - CIN - Ja'Marr Chase (Pro Bowler) 6 - MIA - Jaylen Waddle (was really good on my fantasy team when Hill was down this year) 7 - DET - Penei Sewell (Pro Bowler) 8 - CAR - Jaycee Horn (played all of 4 games last year and 20 in the three seasons since drafted) 9 - DEN - Patrick Surtain II (Pro Bowler) 10 - PHI - DeVonta Smith (kicked my butt in the Fantasy Bowl this year - lost by a TD because of that fucker) If NYJ had passed on Wilson and taken another QB, Lance, FIelds, and Mac Jones were the next three taken. One washed up, one now a backup in PIT, and the last is a headcase. And, as mentioned above, if Chase had gone before our pick, Sewell was our man. He dosen't catch as well as Ja'Marr, but we might have been okay with him otherwise.

  20. They donโ€™t necessarily have to get another big guy to hold up against the run. They just need guys who can shoot gaps and less Zach Carter honestly. He was on the field for some absurd amount of their long runs given up. There was a graphic floating around today showing quite a few teams in the NFL donโ€™t have a guy over 310 and were in the top 10 in stopping the run. They just need two more decent to good bodies to get a good rotation going.

  22. At the college level. He won't get by just being bigger than everyone in the NFL.

  23. His name is Trent Brown.

  24. His weight scares the ๐Ÿ’ฉ outta me. Earliest I'd take him is in the 2nd. If he dropped about 30 lbs I'd be OK @18. Of course, if he dropped 30 pounds he won't be there @18 so....

  29. He's missed time because he's being hit more than any other QB in the NFL when he's active. They need to fix the problem, not stock up on bandages.

  30. That would be a mistake. He's a 2nd maybe 3rd rounder. Move up in 2 if you have to but do not take him at 18

  31. Listening to Paul's podcast. Sounds like Tart wasn't a fit personality-wise and what kind of presence they want in that room. (Didn't mesh). They will look elsewhere (and Rankin's thinks he is part of the solution). Door hasn't closed on Becton, but they are looking at some other 'BIG' players out there and doing it "aggressively" *Sorry if someone already posted. Didn't have a chance to read through stuff.

  32. Pretty much this. If all either guys offers is a bandaid while we wait on rooklies to beat them out, that's fine. I just dont want to go into the season with two huge holes.

  33. I understand this reasoning but you are still basically putting yourself in draft purgatory. You get 9 to 11 wins and what? Another draft unable to get one of the top QB prospects? One and done in the playoffs?

  37. I was, too. Didn't remember the injury he had the previous season, but I didn't think he was very good last year. He's a solid G, but he needs a bounceback year.

  38. Interesting thought but given Joe's propensity to miss time - or at least, play less effectively with some malady - I'm OK with having a better backup to actually win games (I know, they won one with DTR but it was the D that won them games, not the offense). Maybe next year, just would rather be going with more of a sure thing.

  41. Agents are akin to lawyers: they would be obligated to disclose all offers. They could persuade to not accept, but the client always has the right to see and decide.

  42. Good points. As things stand right now he has more leverage in negotiations. As for Bechton he's off to see what the Pats offer then compare Does his agent have to show what the Pats offer was or just his say so?
