It looks like Jones is headed for surgery on his troublesome ankle that has bothered him since the spring. It’s believed that both he and wide receiver A.J. Green (toe) visited foot and ankle specialist Robert Anderson in Charlotte, N.C. Tuesday. The Bengals brought in a host of wideouts to work out Tuesday before they settled on Little, among them former Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor and former Bengals sixth-round pick Cobi Hamilton, released on this past cutdown day. AmishBengalFan
Looks like they're freeing up a spot, perhaps Eifert or Porter or Smith are being activated soon? Or they're looking at adding a LB. OR Fortt is heading to the practice squad if he clears waivers, so someone else from the squad will be moving up. Our current practice squad is: G/C Jeff Baca OT/G Emmett Cleary OT Dan France TE Kevin Greene DT David King WR Colin Lockett (now vacant) CB Onterio McCalebb DE Sam Montgomery WR Tevin Reese HB James Wilder Our Injured folks are: TE Tyler Eifert G Trey Hopkins LB Sean Porter LB JK Schaffer TE Alex Smith

Arkansas Bengal
Bengals get tired of waiting on Marvin Jones, put him on IR Posted by Darin Gantt on October 14, 2014, 3:17 PM EDT AP The hits keep coming for the Bengals at wide receiver. Not only has the availability of star A.J. Green become a week-to-week proposition because of his toe injury, now they’re down another one. The team announced that Marvin Jones was placed on injured reserve. Jones has been struggling with foot and ankle problems all season, and hasn’t played this season. The lack of progress forced the Bengals to cut bait, especially considering Green’s status. Jones caught 51 passes with eight touchdowns last year, and would have been a part of a potentially dynamic offense for the Bengals. But that hasn’t quite come together. They also announced the signing of veteran wideout Greg Little, and waived linebacker Kharri Fort, along with releasing wideout Colin Lockett and adding wide receiver Cobi Hamilton to practice squad. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/10/14/bengals-get-tired-of-waiting-on-marvin-jones-put-him-on-ir/
Arkansas Bengal
Looks like they're freeing up a spot to sign another LB. God knows we're going to need at least one with Lemur and Maulaluga out with injuries and Burfict likely to be suspended for Anklegate...

Jamie_B
We havent had him all year so he wasnt the one that was going to make or break the team. Sucks, would have loved to have him green and sanu on the field at the same time but right now I'm more worried about the D.
