Gresham Watch: Excellence on the move.

3 fumbles. 0 lost. OMFGSOTURRIBLE

I honestly don't think Gresham was anywhere close to bad last season. The passing game overall was fucking horrible, but Gresham had a number of decent drag the entire fucking team plays. Had a fantastic grab to give Andy his first fucking playoff TD ever. Was actually damn good from a blocking standpoint. Penalties were about the same as they always were with him. Get over it.

People who want to replace him so bad, it doesn't make sense. Yes, lets spend another high pick on a fucking TIGHT END. That's such a stupid ass idea. This team didn't want to actually attempt to improve from Gresham in FA. I'll be disgusted if they waste another high pick on that position.

You don't have to waste a high pick on another TE. For how often the TE is used in this offense, it doesn't make sense. Also, Gresham finished 2nd among TE's in fumbles last year. Once the ball is on the ground, its a crap shoot. He got lucky last year. Also, for all of the beast talk about Gresham, the metrics regarded him as 22.7% worse than the average TE. Those numbers are comparable to players like Ben Watson and Jeff Cumberland. I concur based upon watching him.

I seriously dont know how anyone could watch the hit he got in the back during that Stealers game and think he was 100%.

Yeah, and he apparently sat out the Cleveland game the week prior because he knew he was going to get blasted in the back a week later.

It all makes sense now.

And is the same reason he "gave up on his team and didn't play in the playoff game" lol

yet looked to be 90-95% ready to go to those watching him warm up. REAL football players go ahead and play in that situation. they live for those moments, and it's what they play the game for.

Screwed over Levi Jones and P-dub big time.

Second if surgery is necessary then Lap and a few bengal fans look like asses speaking on situations they aren't completely informed on

Third, not getting FA te Big Mistake now.

if his back is so fucked up that he needs surgery, why has he waited until march 18th to address it? it's unlikely his condition has worsened since january, when he was making acrobatic pre game catches impressing all those who watched, then remained bewildered as he chose not to play. if your back is soooo bad it needs surgery, you do that in january to get ready for the next season. that is unless you're trying to hoodwink your next employer.

i call bullshit.

Sorry, but that's bullshit.  Surgery is generally the last option.  It amazes me how so many of you want a "player" to have surgery immediately on any injury, when there is almost zero chance you would let someone do immediate surgery on you.

How completely informed are you?

The back injury occured during the first half of the regular season finale against Pittsburgh....a full week after Gresham pulled his own pud...err...plug against Cleveland.

Edit: Two weeks after.

No doubt because heaven forbid you look at the situation objectively and have to give up your witch hunt.

Sure back surgery is an easy decision when you are a blocking TE. Just let them cut on you.

My guess would be during physical part as teams explore him as an option he isn't passing it significantly enough to convince them the injury can be healed via rehab. So as with a lot of injuries surgery is becoming an option.

But we all hate Gresh so it's easier to keep that narrative that he quit vs Bengal failing to find and deal with an injury.

No doubt!  I've been seeing a Spine Specialist for the last year.  He's been trying to talk me into

back surgery and I keep telling him to eat shit.  (I've heard too many horror stories about it)

This guy was a surgeon in the military and told me he's put guys back together that were in a lot

worse shape than myself.

Still won't let him do it!

Oh, so new information is introduced about his injury and the playoff game months later from a source outside the team.

But you are still convinced you've got the complete story about the Browns game, ok?

You are aware I'm talking about the final regular season game, the one he got hurt in right?

Did he say something to the team like, I know you guys say I'm good to go , but seriously , something isn't right with my back. Anything like that? This doesn't make sense to me. Why would he / could he go all out in pregame then shut down?

Probably to try and see if he would be able to....play? LOL. Christ. I'm sure they had some kind of fucking conversations. What are you expecting right now? What would satisfy you bro? I don't think there was a fucking stenographer recording the conversations between Gresh and the trainers, so I'm pretty sure you're gonna leave the thread disappointed, still thinking he's a pussy. Why try?

I'm actually being sincere in my questioning you  ;) My point is that I don't think anybody has the facts to judge the back severity.
