Hey all.  If you're a STH with 25+ years under your belt, check your email.

They didn't do this the first year (K Anderson, Riley) because the whole RoH concept was still new.  In year two (W.Anderson, Curtis) I was able to go and it was fantastic! They couldn't do this in year three (Esiason, Johnson) due to Boomer's network obligations.  If you're on the invitation list you should give SERIOUS thought into attending.

YOU'RE INVITED: RING OF HONOR RECEPTION

Amish,

We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a Ring of Honor Reception Event to celebrate the 2024 Inductees: Corey Dillon and Tim Krumrie! As a valued STREAK 25+ Member, you will receive a separate email to purchase tickets to this event on Thursday, July 25 at 10am!

WHERE:
Paycor Stadium CareSource (East) Club Lounge

Talked to my contact at the Bengals today and told him I don't want no orange Dillon jersey because he never wore it.  I told him if they offered the leaping tiger one that he wore I would get one for the ROH game.  If anyone wants the leaping tiger jersey they should call the pro shop and request they carry it.  He said he'll pass the suggestion on.

If I'm not from the Cincy area, can you request a specific jersey (CD 28 Leaping Tiger Black) over the phone or online to ship? Or are they in-store only?

Shipping

We offer shipping via UPS Ground, FedEx, and USPS Priority Mail.  Rates may vary.  Please contact our shipping department for questions.

They have all of the vintage jerseys and can make anything you want and authentic jersey quality.  Disclaimer: they're not cheap because they're custom made.

Hopefully this old tweet will embed.

As I have mentioned in the past: Koch's can make pretty much any present or past Bengal jersey to your liking. And, they can do it to the original specs and material (since they were the original jersey makers for the team way back when). My 1969 Bergey was one of those creations (although I bought mine when it was hanging on the wall).

I might still have this white Dillon flying tiger replica...

FB_IMG_1721317053125.jpg

If I do, it's probably a 3XL or whatever the equivalent size is (56?).  It won't fit me since I'm down three sizes, so if anybody wants me to check the jersey closet just lemme know.

Yours is a Reebok replica…circa 2002? Just curious.

Mine was a Wilson…last season made was 1996. I think mine is from either ‘95 or ‘96, as I wanted a #58 jersey with Tovar (Steve) on the back. After he was cut/traded/can’t remember, I took it back to Koch’s and they changed the nameplate to my own name.

Reebok.  I'll take your word for it, I haven't yet gone into the jersey closet to see if I still have it.  Heck, considering how BIG I was back then, it was probably a Reeeeeeeeeebok.  Lol.

But seriously, folks.  If anyone would like it I'd be happy to go see if it's still here.

Just a little bookkeeping:

Vote tallies from 2023 and 2024:

2023
16: Tim Krumrie
11: (*)Boomer Esiason
10: (*)Chad Johnson
8: David Fulcher
3: James Brooks
3: Corey Dillon
3: Dave Lapham
3: Max Montoya
2: Lemar Parrish
2: Reggie Williams
1: Cris Collinsworth
0: Jim Breech
0: Bob Trumpy

(*) Enshrined

2024
18: (*)Tim Krumrie
9: David Fulcher
8: (*)Corey Dillon
3: Lemar Parrish
3: Reggie Williams
2: Bob Trumpy
1: Jim Breech
1: James Brooks
1: Max Montoya
0: Cris Collinsworth
0: Dave Lapham

(*) Enshrined

Combined votes for the remaining nominees:

17: David Fulcher
5: Lemar Parrish
5: Reggie Williams
4: James Brooks
4: Max Montoya
3: Dave Lapham
2: Bob Trumpy
1: Cris Collinsworth
1: Jim Breech

Sorted by age, oldest first

Bob Trumpy (1945)
Lemar Parrish (1947)
Dave Lapham (1952)
Reggie Williams (1954)
Jim Breech (1956-04)
Max Montoya (1956-05)
James Brooks (1958)
Cris Collinsworth (1959)
David Fulcher (1964)

Unless the Bengals add more names to the ballot, we're essentially being asked to pick the order in which all 15 (17?) original nominees will go in, which would suck for the last 2-3 guys to get honored.  I fully expect them to add a name or two each year moving forward to avoid this, even if it means some of the names never make it onto the ring.

I would be curious to see what name (or two) YOU would add to the 2025 ballot if you were in charge.  Personally, I would add Geno first, then Whit if I get two.

Really happy for both of these guys to go into the Bengals Ring of Honor.  Both deserving.

I was really glad to hear an interview with Krumrie.  He sounds great!  Had heard he was having brain trauma issues a few years back.  Seems like he is handling it well, or has overcome it entirely!  That's a tough thing to do.  Really good news.

Lamar Parrish....great player, exciting player.  I just don't think of him as a Bengal.  He played here and did well here, but was more of a hired hand.  Just my thoughts.

As a lark, we should start a Hall of Shame here on this forum, mostly to pass time in slow periods.

I am all for promoting Kirby Criswell !!!!
