Pollack is a high quality OL coach. When they hired him back everyone here was 100% onboard with it. He got a couple picks he didn’t want and now everyone is ready to get out the torches and pitchforks. All you’re really doing is showing your collective asses. No clue whatsoever.

It's strange. Instead of celebrating that he finally has a starting first round RT, and the promise of both Lee and Kirkland people want to focus on the other guys.

A human being was fired from their job today, nothing to celebrate.

Did he deserve it, absolutely...should it be celebrated, I would say no.

Eh.. the dude was slacking & didn't seem to give a shit.  At least Jonah tried & rarely missed games.  In either case I'm mostly glad they've been replaced by someone better.

Besides which, Carman made what, $5-6 million over the last 4 years? I'll think he'll be ok.

meh... If he was fired and going to have to lkive on the streets... yes, that sucks.

Dude is rich, young and will probably get picked up by someone and have a chance again.

I am happy he was fired from the team that I love.. good luck to him unless he goes to the stealers, stains, rats or cowboys.

I don't think he doesn't care, I just think he's not that good. He's was over drafted,  which is not his fault and moved around too much.

If he was a 4th or 5th round pick no one would care, see D'Ante Smith.

I'm not pocket watching Jackson or celebrating he got fired, but don't let me stop your party...it seems like some of you are jealous that he's made over 5 million dollars

I doubt he gets picked up by another team, maybe as a practice squad player but his last tape vs NFL players was abysmal...the last few games he played were garbage snaps..

Carman is a disappointment, hopefully he gets a chance to redeem himself

I always thought Carmen had talent but just couldn't harness it for some reason I definitely wanted him to succeed here

Same TBH, he looked plenty capable in rare flashes

What stings is that the Bengals took Carman with pick 46 ... and All World Center Creed Humphrey went pick 63.  😭

This is another OL draftee that the distinguished OL coach Paul Alexander was pushing for the organization.  I do not know why this team has / had him as a consultant or listens to him.  He must have Mikey’s ear.  This is the fourth recent high OL draft pick he had some influence on the Bengals selecting that was either cut or traded before the end of their rookie contract.  Also, I seen he was at training camp, and the only way I would let him into the complex is for him to buy a ticket.  The guy is worthless as a coach.  Shows that it takes more to block defenses than it does knowing how to pour ketchup.  The fact Pollack wanted Humphrey and didn’t get him is just ridiculous due to Carmen’s injury concern and how other people viewed Carmen’s potential.  I wouldn’t judge Pollack based on Carman.  This is all on Duke and the front office.

He made his name as the Cowboys OL Coach where he had 3 first round picks, Tyron Smith, Zach Martin and Travis Frederick.

Lael Collins who was a projected top 10 ten pick in the 1st round before the shooting investigation and Doug Free who had been

with the Cowboys for 7 seasons before he showed up.

Who has he developed so far in his time with the Bengals?  Volson?  Who I'd bet the majority here think is our weakest link on the OL.

Orlando Brown, who was arguably the top FA OL in free agency, had his pass blocking grade go from 76.8 in 2022 with the Chiefs to 66.1 in 2023 with the Bengals.

That's a pretty big drop off!  2021 and 2022 seasons Joe Burrow was the most sacked QB in the league  being sacked 92 times and

didn't make it through the 2023 season!  And Joe Burrow has one of the quickest releases in the NFL!  I guess all that happened because

Pollack "got a couple picks he didn't want" as you say but were just showing our asses and have no clue!  lolol

Is he an upgrade over Paul Alexander?  Probably but that's pretty low bar!!

He'll always have Orchard Park.

If every game were played in near blizzard conditions...Jackson Carman could become an All-Pro.

If they were to ever put an NFL franchise in Mount Rainier, Washington...Jackson Carman could end up in the Hall of Fame.

It should be humbling for Carman to lose your job to Kirkland, an undrafted rookie free agent. But it probably won't be. He'll likely get claimed by some other team since there is a shortage of O-linemen in the NFL. Good luck to him with his new team.

Agree in theory but in Carman's case I have a difficult time working up a lot of sympathy for

a guy who made several millions of dollars for a job where he was off for half the year.

Hope he invested wisely.

And wonder what number Cleveland will give him by the end of the week.

If I or anyone on this board went into work Monday and were laid off would Jackson Carman give a shit?  NO!

I can't speak for anyone else but I don't have a $5-$6 million nest egg either and I'm 33 years older than he is.

The guy has probably been coddled and given every advantage and special treatment since high school not to

mention a free college education.  I'll save my empathy for someone more deserving like homeless vets etc. etc. etc.

Why are you blaming Frank Pollack for Orlando Brown’s drop off and not Orlando Brown himself?

I would point to every other FA linemen coming here and seeing their numbers drop off too. That has been covered around here. I know you know better.
