Pretty easy to read some of these quotes and conclude that there's going to be significant roster turnover on the defensive side.

These sound like Zach Taylor’s buddies. I thought an extensive search by front office. I hope it works out if it doesn’t golden coach by middle of year.
they better not start 0  2 hopefully.

One heart beat reminds me of Marvin Lewis. Hopefully they play like 2000 ravens defense.
front office has to spend and draft players that can develop

will be interesting to see lou’s defense in Indy they will spend money.

Yeah, there will be lots of comparisons between the Bengals defense and the Colts.

I don't disagree with anything Golden said but will believe in the roster turnover when it happens.

Rots a Ruck with the "really smart players" part....

Perhaps they will be able to use their knowledge of kinematics and biology to diagram exactly how and at what angle they got their ass beat

We need some damned bulldozers, this franchise can't afford the Ferrari.

No mention but with LB, DL and DB coaches hired and the DL coach designated as run game coordinator, wonder if they’ll have someone who will help that’s a pass rush coach. Doesn’t sound like it, but just thought I’d throw it out for others’ thoughts.

Time will tell but I like the talk about tackling and physicality. It’s sorely needed on D and the offense could use some more ‘tude up front also.

The tackling got really bad, not sure what happened there exactly.  Playing not to get hurt?

This shit where they keep the stars in bubble wrap & let them skip practices sends a message, never mind the slow start.

I’m not sure the “physicality” aspect is anywhere near what it was even 20 years ago. No one can wind up with a tackle anymore…no roll tackles…any grab and pull is going to get called. Even linemen—both sides—are more push/grab/lean. (My old HS coach used to call it “leaning towers of mush”.)

Defensive players are walking eggshells on each play. The holding rules are a disgrace.

About the only defenders who can still sort of play with abandon, are the edge rushers—and they are being held 90% of the time. But the NFL likes both of them, so they get leeway

I remember a MLB pitcher who had a degree in kinisiolgy.

He pitched in 106 games one year.

I believe they've drafted more college captains than most teams.

They a multitude of high end players leaderships on the team
