cassanos Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 RT @AdamSchefter: 49ers sent out a mass email this afternoon to teams around the league to try and trade safety Taylor Mays.Basically everyone we thought about drafting, we could still get lol
mullichicken25 Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 i havent seen much of him in SF, has he been that bad?

|BlackJesus| Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 TRADE FOR HIM !!!!!
JC Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.. Sooooo glad we got Dunlap.
oldschooler Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 I would trade them Carson for their 1st rounder next year and Mays.
|Elflocko| Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 My 49er fan co-worker, when asked how he played for them last year responded with "I dont know that he did". I guess one could call that underwhelming...
|SF2| Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011
I would trade them Carson for their 1st rounder next year and Mays.
There ya go OLD, just had to bring Carson into the discussion didn't you? I would do it for only the 2nd rounder. I think that is pretty reasonable.
Tigris Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 Where's the Taylor Mays vs. Earl Thomas thread? I repeated it a million times: Taylor Mays is far too stiff in the hips to make a significant, positive impact. Thank God we did not draft him.
Bengals1181 Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 since we tried to trade up for him in 2008, I wouldn't put it past the front office trying to get him now. I really don't see the need, or the room though. He'd be a nice WLB, but we really don't need one now that BJ is back. He'd be a good cover SLB too if he added weight.
sparky151 Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 I wouldn't mind getting him. He can play teams and maybe learn coverage. I'd offer a 5th rounder for him.

Harbaugh didn't draft him and is looking to trade him. Mike Zimmer was wanting to trade up to get him. Zimmer > Harbaugh and you combined. And he had stats comparable to Crocker last season. Crocker started 9 games. Mays started 6.
Sigfox09 Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 Mays has only played one season in SF. Hard to say the guy is a bust.

mongo Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 Harbough is shredding that roster. Good for him. I don't think that team was fixable. It needs to be detonated.

cassanos Posted August 4, 2011 Author Report Posted August 4, 2011 After the Whitner Debacle ... get this guy
