I repeated it a million times: Taylor Mays is far too stiff in the hips to make a significant, positive impact. Thank God we did not draft him.

since we tried to trade up for him in 2008, I wouldn't put it past the front office trying to get him now.

I really don't see the need, or the room though.


He'd be a nice WLB, but we really don't need one now that BJ is back. He'd be a good cover SLB too if he added weight.

I wouldn't mind getting him. He can play teams and maybe learn coverage. I'd offer a 5th rounder for him.

Harbaugh didn't draft him and is looking to trade him.

Mike Zimmer was wanting to trade up to get him.



Zimmer > Harbaugh and you combined.

And he had stats comparable to Crocker last season. Crocker started 9 games. Mays started 6.

He cant be any worse than Crocker

Mays has only played one season in SF. Hard to say the guy is a bust.

Harbough is shredding that roster. Good for him. I don't think that team was fixable. It needs to be detonated.
