Why would they want to replace a coach who cant get the team ready to play at the beginning of the season or the first quarter of each game?

Taylor rarely has his team ready to play at the beginning of the season.  Over the first 5 games of the season over the last 5 years (won’t count his first season when he went 0-5) he has gone 9-15-1. Only in the Superbowl season did they start off with a winning  record at 3-2.

I'm not on board with a HC that has never been a HC before, if Joe was early in his career ok, but we can't afford to have a new guy "learn on the job".

This means it's

Kingburry

Vrabel

Bellicheck

Of those 3 the only one that interests me is Billicheck, and I dont think the front office would give him the support he needs

Or the contract.

Any idea what he was paid his last year with the Pats?  What does that look like versus Zach?

Who cares bellicheck is better than Zach.  Pay bellicheck and let him implement his system with his coaches.

Not necessarily.Bellicheck,has a losing record, as a coach.Both before and after,Tom Brady.

Belichick was cutting his teeth as a HC in Cleveland after being the mastermind behind the Giants' ferocious defenses of the mid- to late-80s. He's always the smartest guy in the room, IMO, and he doesn't waste talent. Give him Lawrence Taylor or Tom Brady, and he gives you a dynasty. Give him Tom Brady & Randy Moss, and he breaks the record books and nearly gives you perfection. Give him Joe Burrow & Ja'Marr Chase....

His teams were always supremely well-prepared. He could tell his players to "do [their] job" because he fully & meticulously equipped them to do that job.

It wasn't Tom Brady that held the Greatest Show on Turf to 17 points in SB XXXVI. And it wasn't Tom Brady that was coached-up to intercept Russell Wilson on the goal line to win SB XLIX.

How much fire he has left is another story, though. He certainly wouldn't be the first HOF HC to run out of gas in his coaching twilight years.

Kraft also knew how to stay out of his way & trusted him to make decisions.

I think the Browns are going to promote Vrabel as there next head coach.

He a "consultant" for them right now.

I see it as a good fit .

Stefanski isn’t their problem. That he has been able to coax at least some competitiveness out of that dross on offense, is amazing.

Maybe so but the stains go thru HCs damn near as much as QBs

Someone like Ben Johnson would be a significant upgrade on Zac but he'll have plenty of options. Last offseason he turned down offers from a couple of teams.

Prospective coaches might look at Burrow and Chase and salivate but the Brown family still wants to play fantasy football with the team instead of hiring pros to run it while they simply enjoy the perks.

Duke Tobin should be fired before Taylor. Pollack is the most glaringly subpar position coach.

It's ridiculous that we have such a subpar interior O-line or that between our D-line and secondary there is 1 good player.

You laugh, but there's a 50/50 chance that guy ends up being our new D-Line coach. Is he willing to work for $40K a year and all the Skyline he can eat??

IF... By some chance in whatever screwed up timeline this is... Bill Bellyache should somehow be desperate enough to coach the Bengals and Mike/Katie somehow even wanted that to happen....

I demand that it be televised on Hard Knocks.

It would be the funniest TV show since Arrested Development. It would be the greatest addition to a running comedy series since Danny DeVito joined "It's Always Sunny". I want to laugh at every exasperated sigh from Bill and every worried look from Katie. I want to watch Belichick's eyes roll right out of his head when Mike Brown suggests Volson can play TE.

Still hope to see him as a HC or GM somewhere that won't be an uphill battle from the start.   Think he could build a great team if the owners/FO or AD/faculty stayed out of his way.

How safe is Pierce with the Raiders? I don't see Telesco going anywhere.

IIRC, I read Stefanski is safe thru next year so if you want to hire Vrabel it will have to be at the end of this season. As far as other coaches, Pollack and Anarumo have to go. The oline has been crap for years and Lou has either lost it or teams have figured him out and he is unwilling/unable to change his scheme. The recent draft picks we've gotten can't ALL be crap can they?
