Dautcom08
I guess this is at least promising...Zampese interviewed for OC jobs in Chicago and Detroit in the past. Natural choice for #Bengals to keep the continuity w/ Andy Dalton.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

|schotzee|
Surely he has to get some credit for Dalton's progression.

Jason
Here's an idea. Move Urban to QBs and bring in Housh for WRs.
whodey365
Not a fan. He's been here forever and is just now getting his shot. He's was passed over for Gruden and Hue before. Why is he good enough now?

Why is he good enough now? because the scheme is in place. He will mostly be a play caller.
scharm
Here's an idea. Move Urban to QBs and bring in Housh for WRs. Could you fucking imagine Housh on the sideline during last week's playoff game? Oh, that would be so classic having him and Porter go at it. SmoothD
Here's an idea. Move Urban to QBs and bring in Housh for WRs. I actually thought about this idea earlier today.I would love to see Housh as the WR coach
Jamie_B
I'd be ok if Housh was the assistant WR coach, but prefer someone with experience.

Why is he good enough now? Well it took Mike Zimmer over 10 years to get noticed for a head coach position, look what he's doing now with the Vikes. Big Alice
I'll bet dollars to donuts that the Browns ask for permission to interview James Urban. And I'll bet dollars to donuts again that the Bengals don't it happen.

T-Dub
I guess we won't have to worry about a former QB coach blowing a bunch of smoke about re-re--re-re-re-reereeeee-rerererecommitting to the run. Most of our OL kinda sucks at run blocking anyway so this may be a good thing.
alleycat
I guess we won't have to worry about a former QB coach blowing a bunch of smoke about re-re--re-re-re-reereeeee-rerererecommitting to the run. Most of our OL kinda sucks at run blocking anyway so this may be a good thing. What was funny about Hue's commitment to the run was how quickly he went from telling us all that the run was of paramount importance to the run wasn't that big of a deal in today's NFL. I guess watching these guys try to run block made him run the other direction. On that note, I do have concern about the plan for Ced and Fisher, who I suspect were Hue guys as much as they were Alexanders. Both were notable for their athleticism, and in the little we saw them on the field together this year it was remarkable how much they stood out for their ability to play in space. They stood out because that's not a feature shared by other members of the OL. Hue had his starting tackles shed 20 lbs so they could line up at WR. What happens now if they fall back into Alexander's hands? Do we watch the same fate that's befallen Andre and Zeitler victimize them. T'would be so sad... T-Dub
I think the OL & offense in general are in dire need of their version of Zimmer. Someone who will skip the cute shit in favor of lining up & running people over when the situation calls for it.
alleycat
What was even more confusing about Hue was that he went to OAK (as OC and then HC) and in short order turned them from among the worst to among the best in the NFL in the run game. He couldn't come close here. Methinks he ran up against an immovable object. MB's love for Alexander is irrational.
