Maybe, but if I were the Bengals, I would have no problem trading Tee for 2 1st Rd picks. Difficult to assemble a SB quality team with 3 guys on offense all getting top tier contracts at the QB, WR and WR positions. It’s tough with even paying one WR that kind of money when the QB is going to be taking up 20% of your cap.

Oh mama, 2 firsts I would be looking at every one of those opportunities.

We may be overthinking this. The team may very well just keep Mixon for this coming year

That would be a mistake. They need to replace Perine and should replace Mixon. A vet and a rookie would get it done. Keeping Mixon while letting Bell go is hard to defend.

I don't disagree but as we see from signing Brown, the RB spot may simply not be a priority at this time. So they can sign another back up, see what happens in the draft, etc. There may not be a reason today to cut Mixon.

Yes, they may not need Mixon's cap space until the summer when they do the Burrow (and hopefully the Higgins) extension.

But if they plan to have a new RB combo, it would be better for Joe to be on the market now than in the summer. He deserves that much.

So far my RB list is

All around backs

1-Dijon

---------

2-Zach Charbonet

--------

Backs that I think have the agility/feet to be starters/stars and can catch

3-Tank Bigsby

4-Sean Tucker

-----

Backs that I think have the agility/feet to be starters/stars that haven't been shown to catch (not sure it was asked of him)

5-Dwayne McBride

-----

Undersized back that can catch and pass block but I don't know if he can be a starter

6-Kenny McIntosh

-----

Big play guys who I am not sure have the size/muscle to be a primary back

7-Israel Abanikanda (He is only 20 so who knows)

8-Tajae Spears

9-Jhamyr Gibbs

----

Guys who can block but I am not sure has the juice to be a number one back

10-Roschon Johnson

----

Guys who I don't really like but everyone else does so we probably will draft one

11-Zach Evans

12-Kendre Miller

A few more names to consider would be Devon Achane, Eric Gray, Chase Brown, Mo Ibrahim, and Evan Hull.

I think Achane is too small. Gray isn't dynamic enough for me, Brown looked awful blocking, Ibrahim and Evan Hull I will have to look at more.

"But not at 2"..

I dont see why he wouldn't be a good RB2..

What cant he do??

I am not going to disagree with that. I'd be happy to give him a shot. I just think the team make up will be Mixon-Rookie-Williams-Evans again. And the rookie will get more focus/snaps

He was 2 when Mixon was hurt last season and preformed fine.

At some point you have to give young guys a chance.

I have always really liked him in preseason too. Whatever that is worth. Great blocking grade too, on obviously limited snaps.

He outperformed Mixon, just like Perine.  I see no reason they'd keep Mixon around other than it being the easiest thing to do or trying to be Team Nice Guy.  It stinks of the "old Bengals" approach to roster building.  Kind of a musty odor...
