@tibor75 what parts of this would likely be considered still critical?

Nothing.

The terms "critical condition" or "serious but stable" are meanginless buzz words.  We actually don't use them in medicine.

More than likely it means he is still in an ICU.  Probably for closer monitoring. Also, obviously because the nation is watching his progress.  He likely is on no oxygen and is on no medications to support his BP.  So very likely he is not getting any therapy that causes his to need to be in an ICU.  But he's there so he can be watched like a hawk.

Also nothing about this story is "amazing" or "miraculous."  Happens every day in hospitals everywhere.

A person was once walking the street to a concert.  Passed out.  No pulse.  Got bystander CPR and somebody called 911.  She got shocked.  I saw her in the hospital a few hours later and we carried out a normal conversation.  She actually met her "bystander" months later and they had a heart-warming reunion.

Thanks for the clarification.

Things I'm interested in:

Will they find he had a pre-existing issue with his heart that contributed to this?  If so, he likely will get an ICD (defibrillator) and he will retire.

If not, will he play again?

I still haven't found out how often a football hit has been responsible for this, i.e. commodo cordis ?

People mentioned Chris Pronger who got hit in chest with a puck and kept playing.  But he never coded.   A specialist on twitter explained that he never arrested.  He likely went into heart block and then recovered.  This would have resulted in a very slow heart rate and passing out (or almost passing out)

Our military are Dolphins?  You are a pathetic little piece of dung! Scumbag!

Yeah dude the Navy started training them in the 60's or 70's, they patrol harbors for saboteurs and can reportedly help clear mines or perform who knows what other missions. Pretty cool!

Holy smokes, your haters are giving you kudos now, who would’ve thunk it.  They might be humane after all.  Nah, Dolphin Boy likes his Flipper.
