They will get the winner of the Stealers/Rats. Either one will make them feel it.

Wouldn't they get the winner of the Texans/Chargers?

They get whichever team is the lowest remaining seed, so it would be PIT if they win or winner of HOU-LAC if BAL wins.

I totally agree

There is a huge difference between the two leagues. In the NBA, every year there are 3 or less great draft prospects. In the NFL, you can rebuild a team in 1 -2 years. NBA you need to tank twice and pick up 2 great players, hope they develop and then still fill the roster. In the NFL, you can get a good player in round 7, the diff between the two leagues in that respect is huge. roster size also makes it harder to tank for several years.

They would play whoever the lowest winning seed is. So only teams that would be eligible would be Denver, Steelers, Texans, or Chargers. They can't play the Bills or Ravens in their first game.

I think the first week of the playoffs for the AFC anyway goes

Bills

Rats

Chargers

The chiefs would end up playing the Chargers and Bills the Rats. I think the Chargers could beat them, also think Lamar does what Lamar does and loses to the Bills.

I would not be surprised to see a Chargers/Bills AFCC

Got ahead of myself. I am actually thinking that the Stealers can beat the Rats.

They have split this year so it's possible, but man those two teams look to be on different paths.

Just stop it.  Teams have been doing it for years.

I don’t see the NFL outlawing it, as it would be very difficult to police it.

And we would do the same thing if we were in their place.

100%. Earn home field and you have options.

While you may not like it if you’re not in that position, you had a chance to win more games so you could exert some control over your destiny. But you didn’t… so tough isht.

I went back and looked at the results of the first two LAC-KC games and came to the same conclusion. LAC played them tough both games and KC has been the beneficiary of timely calls at the end of games and freakish plays that helped them get to that 15-2 record. I'm not saying they're not good, but they're not 15-2 good. And I'm still not convinced that going 24 days or whatever without playing won't have a negative effect, but I guess they know more about it than I do. Anyway, I think LAC have a very good shot at beating them. If they can, it will be glorious.

I like that idea. Sort of like how college football gives bowl games to every team with 6 wins. In the NFL you could just have 9 wins guarantee you the playoffs.

The Bengals are the only team above .500 to miss out ...

Seattle won 10 games and missed he playoffs too

Another idea would be taking away a draft pick every game a team sits more than 5 healthy starters. First offense is a 3rd rd pick. Second time a 2nd rder. Third time a 1st rder.

This would also prevent the "load management" bullshit that has killed off the NBA regular season and may one day come to the NFL.

yea theres only like 5 NBA players who sit too much.

One is The Process. His every other game stuff wears thin.

Sort of get it if it’s only about the playoffs…but PHL is 15-20 and 11th in the east.

yea he sucks. he is one of the worst representations of the NBA it has ever had, The NBAs desperate need to have stars in fear of the post Jordan drought, has made some league killing guys stars, harden as well, But embiid is a mediocre player who instead of trying to be great tried to perfect grifting for calls.

He is pathetic. Harden is an abortion as well. Watched him grift last in person.. i hate him.

Clippers shot 40 free throws. they made 32 freethrows to the nuggets 11, and lost by 23...

horrible product.

I know you watch a ton of hoops but try as I might I have a hard time getting behind the NBA game as it stands right now.  March Madness is my shit.

Nuggets, Thunder and Cavs are the only teams that arent an abortion to watch.

Sitting players the last game once a playoff spot is secured and winning does nothing to improve their position has been going on for decades. And the NFL doesn’t play 82 games nor does 67% of the league make the playoffs.

Every game matters most of the season unless you suck or are 15-1 going into the last week.

Go 15-1 and you can start Taylor Swift and  Purdue’s backups if you want game 17.

And the Cavs won’t last past Boston. The NBA has spoken

On the other end of the "load management" spectrum, I've been watching Thibs burn out KAT, Brunson, and the rest of the Knicks starters this early in the season. They'll be pretty much dead by playoff time lol.
