Even if the kick had been from 30 yards the result is the same if the holder fucks up the snap. If you have a new holder that hasn't been doing great...yeah, you do consider the holder. Quote

Still pissed off. 😤 So now I’m having an adult beverage on my front porch and watching a nice sunset. We took the boat out on its last cruise of the year. Beautiful sunset. It was a glorious day weather wise. 2 Quote

He hit a 56 yarder last week with no issues and has missed 2 all year if rekhow is really having issues holding they'll have to use a roster spot for a holder because his punting has been awesome e 1 Quote

Le Tigre Posted October 7 Report Posted October 7 It’s not normal for a person of my age to actually attend a day like today in person. Downtown parking going for $50 and up. Even my usual tucked away place was $30. Then walk 2 miles in 86 degree heat, to sit in a Finnish sauna and bake easy at 350. This was a game that the NFL lusts for each and every week: the back/forth end-to-end acore-a-thon that keeps Hard Rock and Bet Fred ecstatic. Nobody stopping anyone. Lemur had help from this facsimile of a defense, but watching him in live action, made my jaw drop with his ability to keep plays alive. And I don’t want to read anymore bullshit about “can’t afford both” Tee/Uno. This offense can’t afford NOT to have them both. Mims is a monster…and a tough bugger at that. The end didn’t disappoint me, as much as it was a class A definition of irony. On such an oddball day, it was impossible to get angry. Had to feel sympathy for all of the spent-from-screaming-in-the-heat drunken souls who gave it their all. Hope they all got home safely. Another wonderful day with my brother Amish. Hope he found that elusive TANK bus back to civilization from downtown ThunderDome. I couldn’t watch baseball—as I was stuck in the cement-consistency traffic up I-71…but kept track of my Phillies pulling a walk-off in the 9th on staticky radio. Hope everyone here calls a ceasefire. 3 Quote

Spotto Posted October 7 Report Posted October 7 19 hours ago, Whodeyman said: Not horrible loss. Just some mistakes at end but that was one entertaining game even though Bengals lost. Bengals have elite offense and can play with any team. They will start winning next week against giants and against the stains Does having an elite offense include offense coaching? Can't be elite when mismanaged! 3 Quote

I’ll let you know what he says. 😂 My son has not responded yet, but I did ask a friend/Browns fan and he said losing close is better because at least that gives one a little hope. Getting blown out makes you feel hopeless, in his opinion. I don't know if I agree, I'm still pretty steamed. 1 Quote

Like I've done with the Reds over most of the past two decades. Same with the Bengals in the 90s and early 200s. I still refuse to be tied to the TV on a beautiful Sunday. I missed the first half this week. Golf was way better. 1 2 Quote

Tried looking today and found out the Bengals only had, I think, four penalties. I know Joe's first sack was kinda on Volson because the replay showed he had blown the his player 5+ yards off the line of scrimmage leaving a gap the size of the expressway in the line and another defender (Hamilton) blew in and got to Joe. I think they said the sack was on the running back. 1 Quote

He also failed to get a good angle on the second one too. Happened in our end of the field…it was “LOOK OUT!” time 1 Quote

They scored 38 points, how can you say they were mismanaged? And the cold hard reality is the interception late is the game lost a WON game. Of course the only reason we were in a position to win was excellent play calling and 5 TD passes from Burrow. 2 Quote

Catfish Bob Posted October 8 Report Posted October 8 The orange pants with the black jerseys is pretty bad ass. Cheer up folks. The Bengals will be 5-4 when they face Baltimore again in 5 weeks. Giants, Browns, Eagles, Raiders will all be wins. 1 Quote

Another the DT did a stunt from the Bengals left (Volson and Brown Jr) and blasted between Cappa and Karris to Joe. Brown Jr was beaten on the third. I was questioning two holding calls on him. Don't think there were any although Brown Jr had a brain numbing false start at a critical time. 1 1 Quote

I remember watching the replay on that false start. (no sound) It looked like the ball was out. He moved before any of the other linemen, so it looked like a false start, but I didn't think it was. I was in a bar and had a few in me, so I could be wrong here. 1 Quote
