Mixon's sister's boyfriend was charged this week in Clermont county with possession of a gun while under disability. Different gun than the one he used to shoot the kid. Apparently he is also awaiting trial on drug charges in Clermont county as well.

or Mixon needs a new sister.  Or maybe don't let her AK-toting boyfriend use his mansion as the trap? IDK, I'm not his lawyer.

According to WLWT reporter Charlie Clifford, Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon’s trial date is set for August 14th.

This would be the Monday after the Bengals’ home preseason game vs. the Green Bay Packers.

New @WLWT: Joe Mixon’s trial date regarding an alleged incident in January that resulted in a misdemeanor charge of aggravated menacing has been set for August 14 in Hamilton County.

— Charlie Clifford (@char_cliff) June 30, 2023

The misdemeanor charges stemmed from an incident that took place during the team’s playoff run following the 2022 season when Mixon allegedly pointed a gun at a woman and threatened her.

The charges were originally dropped without prejudice, meaning they could be refiled, back in January. When the charges were refiled in April, Mixon pled not guilty.

Pointing a gun at someone in traffic and threatening to kill them is a misdemeanor? Wild.

Once Perine signed with Denver, there was almost a guarantee that Mixon would be back for another season after a restructured contract. No way Cincinnati was going to start over from scratch at RB all at once. The Bengals have never done a restructured contract before. I'm guessing they were the last team in the league where that was the case. I had wondered if Cincinnati had lost all restructure contract leverage with Mixon after Taylor saying that he would be back for the new season. Just shows how much Mixon wanted to stay in Cincinnati.

Now we have to wonder if a Burrow extension will be the next contract domino to drop.

So was this restructure or get cut??

Yeah, was wondering the same thing...whether it was an ultimatum or Mixon just saw the writing on the wall and it never had to get to that point.

That's democrat policy man. They don't care about black people (first hand experience at this), they just make you think that until they get elected. How many democrats have stuck to their promise when pandering to black people?

No player is going to just allow their salary to be cut by millions of dollars unless their agent has determined that this outcome is better than the alternative.. His agent basically said that Joe wanted to stay in Cincinnati and try to get a SB ring. That's why he agreed to a significant pay cut...wanting to stay in Cincinnati rather than become another free agent RB trying to find  an acceptable  deal in an unfriendly market.
