February 27, 20205 yr comment_1610901 I could see a lot of teams being perfectly willing to give Dalton a chance to start... but a second rounder? I'd need new pants if that happens.
February 27, 20205 yr comment_1610915 Lap was guessing fourth round because of how crowded the FA pool is with good quarterbacks this year. I agree with him. If we get anything north of round four, I’ll call that a Carson Palmer‘s ego-sized victory.
February 27, 20205 yr comment_1610921 I'd happily take a 4th so anything better is gravy. A top 100 pick would let us add some depth to a group. A 2nd round pick would let us add a future starter.
February 27, 20205 yr comment_1610922 I'd like him to go to NE...Mostly because it give my brother-n-law hope about the Fins having a chance in that division.
February 28, 20205 yr comment_1610946 How fantastic would that be given that Dalton was himself a second round pick? We get nine years with five playoff berths and the most TD passes in Bengals history... only to be [almost] fully reimbursed in the end.

Trubisky rook salary has two yrs left at 7 mil a year. Taking on a contract fot Dalton ( 3yrs 54 mil ? " ) would be preventing them from signing their own good players.. I cant see their interest ..
February 28, 20205 yr comment_1610948 Dalton is way better than trubisky - that’s why. On a team with a loaded defense, the attraction would be him pulling a Tannehill for Chicago like happened for the titans.
February 28, 20205 yr comment_1610949 Dalton is only (only HA) 17 mil next year and most of those FA quarterbacks are going to ask for a lot more. That has to be worth something IMHO.
February 28, 20205 yr comment_1610951 As Brady's departure from Foxboro continues to look more probable, I think we can start to take the notion of New England Patriots starting quarterback Andy Dalton more seriously.
February 28, 20205 yr comment_1610955 That is the perfect scenario. Used a 2nd round pick to draft him. Got 8 years of service out of him. Traded for a 2nd round pick. No way in hell am I trading him to the Patriots or any AFC team for that matter.
February 28, 20205 yr comment_1610957 If there's a second round pick in it, I will trade him to absolutely anyone except Pittsburgh. In Cleveland or Baltimore he probably wouldn't start.

Pace acknowledged that Trubisky must play with more consistency but saw signs of improvement in the young quarterback and is confident that the second pick in the 2017 draft will keep growing. "Mitch is our starter," Pace said during his end-of-season press conference. "We believe in Mitch and we believe in the progress that he's going to continue to make."

It looks like Rivers is headed to Indy. I can see them bringing Jacoby Brisett back or Derek Carr if Brady goes to LV; if they want to trade for a QB. If they want to get a QB for free there's talk they like Tannehill; however, i could easily see Bridgewater there
February 28, 20205 yr comment_1611003 No chance we get a 2nd. I'm hopeful for a 3rd, but think a 4th is likely.

February 28, 20205 yr comment_1611007 I hope he goes to NE and wins the SB. I'd love to see the spin machine in motion on here.
