MULLY
I’ve had a day to think about this and I keep coming back to the same thing, Mahomes may be a great QB, but he sure as fuck didn’t do anything impressive yesterday. A broken down Bengals offense stayed with them until the final seconds, and lost because of a penalty. It bothers me hearing the talking heads saying the Bengals only beat Buffalo because of the fumble recovery. Yet KC wins because of a penalty putting them in FG range and Mahomes somehow played an amazing game and destroyed the Bengals. Suck my dick with that horse shit. I honestly believe a healthy Bengals team would have won that game easily. Our decimated O line looked great in Buffalo because their defense was so bad it made them look good. On the 3rd down that got replayed, watch the video. Before that play he clearly said to reset the play clock to 10 seconds then he says “the play clock and game clock will start on my signal” he blew his whistle and both clocks started just as he said. Then the mystery happens. The one official said he blew his whistle but it was so loud in there that no one heard it. Interesting, go back and watch, you can hear every single blown whistle the entire game except that one. TV mics don’t lie, there was no fucking whistle. Anyway, great fucking season and I honestly believe there’s a SuperBowl victory in our future. I’d sure like to see one more season with this receiving corps. And PLEASE beef up that O line. Lastly, I think the Bengals were the superior team there yesterday. Even if they weren’t, the Chiefs and Mahome didn’t appear to be the force of nature these media dolts make them out to be. MULLY watch it and tell me I’m wrong
|High School Harry|
First post since I turned off the TV immediately after the Goddell mandated and manufactured... well, game ending. I can't call it a vic... vic... v... never mind. I have not stepped back from the ledge. You mugs are all great and I am on Team Ossai.
T-Dub
Like we've all said before; the Bengals never win, at best the other team loses. Also obviously no excuse for giving them a do over when they routinely tell the clock operator to set it to whatever to correct these things.. Just 100% horseshit and indefensible. Explain it however you prefer - it hardly matters now anyway.
Catfish Bob
I didn't get to watch the game but I listened to it on the radio. Again it just sounded like non stop penalties in the last 10 minutes or so.

Mikeslumina
I don’t want to lose our coordinators. League is trying to dismantle us. I hope they get what they want great coaches but chose wisely. Indy with no qb and crazy owner. Panthers no qb unorganized. . If they offer enough money like Cleveland for Jackson you have to take it.
Cat
I don't know about being rigged or whatever - but maybe not a great idea to talk shit about the NFL on camera, ie 'better get your refunds'? Who knows, maybe they'd have fucked us anyway, but why poke the bear, and then this shit happens?

I didn't like "BurrowHead" or "We're the team to beat" shit from the get go. Obviously the Bengals are my team, but shit talk AFTER you whoop ass, not before. I kind of think 10 wins was making them puff their chests a bit early too.

Well of course it was, but even when you're right, talking shit to a mafia type organization, of course they are going to retaliate. Don't even get me started on the dumb ass mayor. That was so cringey.

Obviously the slow track from the weather must have hindered their d line and made our o line appear amazing, because they were back to awful against KC. That was the game with the narrative the NFL should have loved with Hamlin, and we did not get jobbed. Unfortunately, before the game even ended the "Burrowhead" foolishness started, and Apple couldn't wait to get on twitter with his "Allen Diggs marriage counseling", stuff. Obviously the Bengals are my team as well, but Mahomes was definitely out of bounds and I'm pretty sure the pass called for grounding didn't reach the line of scrimmage. The extra down was incompetent bullshit, but unfortunately it happens. Not just to us. Anyone talking about the hold that nullified the early Pacheco touchdown? Of course not. They could have held on to that flag easily and no one would've been the wiser. KC ended up settling for a field goal. 4 points off the board. Bengals should've mopped these guys up. Gimpy Mahomes with no one to throw it to. Starting corners out. Our o line was so bad when it mattered, couldn't even get to midfield when a field goal meant going to the Super Bowl. An amazing effort by the defense and skill players, but it was like watching the same team that lost to the Rams, only worse. Lastly, going back to the shit talking. You don't have to respect the Chiefs (or anybody else) as people or players. But ffs, respect the fact that they stand in the way of the Lombardi (the whole point of all of this), that they're capable of turning a dream season into a nightmare, and act, talk, and prepare accordingly.

sois
I won't kill myself. The window is open as long as Burrow is healthy. Pollack needs to coach guys better. I hope he can. This is year 3 though, develop some guys already. Ossai is an idiot, but we all do dumb things. He is more good than bad though, so just move on to the next play. Bowl in 2024.

|westside bengal|
The Bengals and Chiefs are going to be the main AFC rivals for many years with the Bills and maybe the Chargers thrown in the mix. The Chiefs and Bills will not stand pat and will be aggressive with their rosters in the office season. The Bengals did a decent job with the Oline but still need a dominating left tackle. At his best Jonah is an ok LT but Joe deserves better than just OK. The NFL has as many good young QB's plus several vets in the league at one time as I remember seeing. Which means getting after the QB is the becoming the defensing mantra of the NFL. The Bengals did a good job of that but need to build on it. They need to add at least 1 more pass rush specialist to the mix, Be aggressive in the off season.

Spotto
Ossai knows he’s guilty of the flag, let’s all just believe that instead of blaming Kermit’s acting or bias against us. Ossai is gonna be a great player for us, and this mistake will burn inside for a while and drive him to make our D a better one. 1
I_C_Deadpeople
That do o we play might be the most bizarre ref thing I have ever seen given they let the play run. That is fucked up on so many levels. I will say again the difference in the game was our OL injuries. Where is KC and Philly now if they had 3 staring OL or DL out? We can say the backups were weak but they are backups for a reason. Take Chris Jones out of the lineup and we win that game; take Darnold out last year and we win the SB. Those injures were killers

If we had managed to win with what we rolled out Sunday the Super Bowl would probably be a laugher with Burrow getting carted off before halftime.
|High School Harry|
Three days later and still not over it. "It" includes the cancelled Monday Night Game with Buffalo. Yes, it should have been cancelled but the Bengals still should have been awarded the W either because they were winning when cancelled or a Buffalo forfeit. Affected our playoff seed and possible home game. "It" includes the WTF plan for a neutral site for Buffalo and Kansas City and us playing in the loudest stadium in the NFL. Advantage Buffalo? Turns out that it did have an effect. Possibly. Why didn't we get a neutral site for this game? Da' fuk? Might not have made a difference but it would have leveled the playing field and we would have been on the same footing as Buffalo if they had won. "It" also includes the Kansas City Cluster Fuck. My personal protest which no one gives a flying fuck about will be to boycott the Super Bowl and probably do my taxes. Perfect way for the NF'nL to demoralize a fan base.

Depth is important. KC had guys who stepped in and got the job done. The Bengals did not.
